Post your best survival games!

When can I win this game? Turn 1000?

Check out MVP - Gilden Silveric! :goodjob:

Sploitz list:
- I chose all the enemy civs and chose them as evil so I would be guaranteed of getting Runes or Order religion.
- The enemy civs are mostly magical (note no aggressive civs!) because I figure the AI uses magic less effectively
- I once wanted to see whether I would use up 2 movement points attacking a goblin on a hill/desert with my hunter - I did so I reloaded that (save just before testing this). This isn't really a sploit, just stating that I didn't save/reload.

noOOOOO I just lost my freshly built Bambur to a Clan Shadow!!!!

Gilden on 1364 XP.

That sucks, were you attacking or defending? It feels like a low probability loss...

I have a rather extensive combat log (1656 battles fought) so is there a way to search the combat log for Bambur (other than reading it all manually!)?

Also Gilden on 1792 XP (level 27).

You can try the unit statistics (hall of fame), but I doubt he's in there if he was killed that early.

just do small or tiny and it should manage, duel with 18 civs is fun too heh

i made it to around turn 500 i think, i cant remember.. they got me finally with drown and skull catapults (skull catapults have 6 strength, and the drown were able to pillage all my improvements)

kurioates i think, and im not sure what game speed i had it on, i was able to hold out against their catapults for a while by using my own catapults, but they managed to take my second city and then hunting demons were coming for me (normally strength 7, but i upped them to 9 or higher and made them super easy for hyborem to build so that hed be tougher than normal)
they had other units, but drown were the only ones who could get to my second city, because it was blocked by my city and water, and a bunch of improvements (i had my capital city built on a hill bottleneck)

I'm suprised the ai didn't attack from ships like they did fairly early on when we played survival together (as Lanun). Is that an AI weakness maybe?

Wouldn't it have been easier to hold units in a city against invaders rather than on a hill against them?

When I entered this thread I thought it was going to be about a Survival Game scenario (and it kinda is, but not what I'm acoustomed to). Similar to those found in RTS like StarCraft or WarCraft 3. I wonder if such a scenario would be fun in a turn based format. Tower Defense would be fun too, but kinda lame in turn based.
