I can't find the Svartalfar as a playable race in FFH, is it just me or isn't it in FFH at all and I'm just imagining it should be?

I think the svartalfar are unplayeble atm but they do sometimes appear as ai players. They are being added in as a playable civ in 'shadow'.

lo, I think there might be a mod-mod that adds them in too if you really want to play them now although it's hardly worth the bother considering shadow comes out in 25 days I think.

Actually its only 20 days until Shadow comes out.

You could download SureShots's modmod if you really want to play a unique Svartalfar civ now, but it isn't compatible with the latest versions. She didn't see the point of updating it so close to the release of shadow.

Anyway, actually making a civ playable isn't hard to do yourself without the aid of any modmod; just open the CIV4CivilizationInfos.xml file (In the Civilizations folder in the XML folder in the Assets folder of the mod folder) and change <bPlayable>0</bPlayable> to <bPlayable>1</bPlayable> (and remember to save the file, of course ;) ). If you have the latest version of excel, you could just open the editor file and change one 0 to a 1 there, and then export.

(Prior to BtS, <bPlayable> and <bAIPlayable> were instead found in the CIV4LeaderheadInfos.xml file. I believe this was changed because that would mean that you could begin a game as the Infernals or Mercurians when using unrestricted leaders. I actually assigned extra leaders for these 2 civs, among several others, in .22 and found that I could start as Mercurians/Infernals, and then still summon anothe rof the same civ, under their usual leaders. Both versions got free manes/angels. :))

It might be interesting to see all the changes you have made to FfH
