It is safe to swap over a SECONDARY HardDrive?

My laptop comes with two 200GB HD's

I want to put the 500GB HD from my broken laptop into my new one.

What problems could occur when I try to swap the secondary HD (Nothing installed on it, vista is on the other HD) for one which previously has been the main HD for another laptop?

Other than it being full with Windows gubbins, i hope nothing?

My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite P200-144....

wipe the hard drive you are putting in

Do i have to? Its got all my stuff on it!

Unless youre hot-swapping it when you shouldnt or you accidentally try to boot from it or accidentally blow it up with the wrong power voltage I dont think any problems should happen.

What interface are you using? In the past I had to change the master/slave settings when doing this, you will probably find that the other hard drive is set to be a master while the current second drive is the slave, in which case you will need to change the setting on your old drive from master to slave. Not sure if that is needed for SATA drives though.

All swapped happily it seems...
