Switching computers and lost Civ 4 disc

Recently bought a new computer with Windows 7 on it. Was playing Civ 4 BTS on older computer running Windows XP. Well, I would like to play Civ 4 BTS on my new computer, but I have misplaced my original Civ 4 disc. I have all of the files from my old computer, but not sure if I can transfer them, and if so where do I put them.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes you can use them. Just copy your Firaxis folder to any convinient location and make shortcut to bts exe file.
At least that worked for me.

I have Civ 4 and BTS on another computer, but would like to play it on my new laptop. I lost the original Civ4 disc, but have BTS.

Anyone? Any advice would be MUCH appreciated!

recently bought Civ IV Complete, I use laptop, want to play both home and one other place, but don't want to carry the DVD with me all the time:
- is there any way I can play the game without the DVD inserted?
- how can I make a functional copy of the DVD (the usual simple way doesn't work)?
any advice appreciated
