Hey everyone, this is my first attempt at a some-what in-depth scenario. It's based off of Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series. If you haven't read it you should check it out, it's an 11 book epic.

You can choose from one of four new Civs to play as: D'Harans, Westlanders, Midlanders, and the Imperial Order. I've added 8 new uniques units, 2 units for each Civ. They are linked to two new techs that you can start to acquire in the Middle ages. There are also three new wonders/small wonders that are linked to the new techs also. And lastly, I've added three new resources that are required to build the new units and buildings: White and Black Sorcerer's Sand, and Marble.

Since this is my first attempt I haven't changed any of the graphics and had to reuse some images for the resources/buildings/units.

Enjoy! :D

11 books? Really? I hadn't realized he'd written that many.

Anyway, thanks for making up a scenario for us. We always need more :)

A few tips; can you post a few screenshots, or add some more information on what the scenario is about?

Sorry to be so negative, but if I don't say it, I'm sure somebody else will.

It's all good. I'm still a little new to making mods and scenarios.

This version is just a low-key trial of what I'm starting to make. Essential, you can play as one of the four main empires/civs from the book: the people of Westland who want nothing to do with magic, the people of the Midlands and D'hara who are steeped in magic, and the people of the Old World who want to banish magic. Each Civ is in their own self-contained area, i've changed the "tundra tile" into an impassable tile called "the Boundary." There are only three passes in all the boundaries: one connecting Westlands to Midlands; Midlands to D'hara; and Old World to Midlands. Their is a little bit of sea/ocean tiles, but this book took place almost entirely on land.

At the moment it's a free for all, you can play as any civ and do as you please. As stated in my first post, i've only added 8 units, the 4 playable civs, 3 unique wonders/sm wonders, 2 new techs and 3 new resources.

I'm currently redoing the scenario so it's more authentic. I've downloaded a bunch of new units and resources from this site so I greatly appreciate the time and effort of those people who have shared their creations. Thanks!

I'll post screenshots in a little bit. Do to my meddling of files I've got to redo somethings so the game doesn't crash.

I am a fan of this series (have all 11 books) and for those who have not read it, give it a try with the first book "Wizard's First Rule". The series concluded with the release of the last book last November.

I have checked out the set up in the editor and the map looks great as far as it relating to what is available for information in the books.

I look forward to a true scenario in this world once you get it going, but to make it good, you will have your work cut out for you.

Goodluck!

Yea I already do! I was in the process of getting it going yesterday and I did something that affected the version that I have posted here, so I'm starting over again. When I was playing out the scenario, I'd place my first settler and the game would end, saying I lost! It sucks but now I know...backups backups backups! lol.

The new map is "huge" compared to the standard size used in the scenario I posted. So stay tuned for more! :D :D

Thanks!

That's odd.....SORRY!! But don't worry I'm in the midst of making a better one. Plus I realized I forgot to add "pedia" entries for everything sooooo....it would probably crash anyways.

So for those who are in the midst of playing sorry for the disappointment.

Stay tuned!

Someone should think of making a WoT mod. I hope they manage to make the last book the way it was supposed to be...
