SuperPowers: Clash of Ideologies (DLC Edition)

1762201550077.png
Original Authors: Lincoln_lyf, Captain

I’m excited to share with the Civ community my latest project, the ultimate DLC pack: SuperPowers: Clash of Ideologies. This is an upgraded version of the well-known mod first introduced by Lincoln_lyf and Captain, now redesigned from scratch to meet real-world military scenarios as closely as possible. While my initial plan was to release this mod for Civ VI, the recent release of Civilization VII led to the cancellation of that project. This version does not expand beyond the Information Era (like other newer versions from other authors do). Instead, it makes full use of all available Civ V assets up to the Information Era—plus plenty of newly introduced units and wonders exclusively created for this project—combining them into one ultimate DLC package that delivers a truly unique late-game warfare experience.
Included MODs
  • DLL-VMC: DLL - Various Mod Components v88 - whoward69
  • CP: UI - Condensed Promotions v15 - whoward69
  • RAS: Really Advanced Setup v15 - General Tso
  • SP: GPR World SP v6.3 - Captain
Notable Changes
  • Enhanced Units and Nations
Each unit now is represented by its own unique 3D model—no more different units share the same model. Additionally, each nation features several unique variants with specialized abilities and unique promotions, simulating real combat conditions.
  • New World Wonders and GW
Plenty of new world wonders and great works have been added. Many were previously available as separate mods or borrowed from other modpacks, but others have been exclusively designed for this project. Every wonder and GW now has its own unique quote and sound effect, further enriching the experience.
  • Late-Game Enhancements and Stabilization
New projects for the World Congress and exciting concepts like Alien and UFO threats have been introduced to spice up the late-game experience. Several balance and performance tweaks have been took place to ensure smooth, stable gameplay even deep into the later eras and beyond.
Future Plans
  • All future updates (if any) will be mostly minor fixes and modifications. No major changes affecting gameplay will be made
  • My main, yet very challenging update will be that every world should be represented by its own 3D model, but this is very time-consuming and may also cause graphical glitches.
  • Gradually transition this mod to Civilization VII, when the game becomes mature enough to be able to accept modifications like the ones included here.

RESERVED for World Wonder Graphical Updates (EXPERIMENTAL)

If any experienced Civ V modder knows how to avoid graphical glitches (e.g., city disappearance) when adding custom building or wonder 3d models, please share your knowledge here. Suggestions are always welcome — the CGI work itself isn’t my concern (just time-consuming).
