System Requirements

I thought I'd try the Civ4 demo, since it's got good reviews everywhere. My PC appears to meet the minimum requirements listed to run it, but I couldn't find any options to change graphics settings in the demo - a message told me the game had done that for me, but when I tried playing it it ran too slowly to be enjoyable.

Does anyone else happen to have Civ4 running on a PC at minimum specification? If the full game allowed me to further lower graphics or resolution it might be playable, but I don't want to buy it and then find that isn't the case.

Post your system spec and hopefully some other players with a similiar spec might be able to advice you better. I would say that your PC really needs to meet the recommended spec and 1Gb of RAM.

I have a 2.52ghz processor, a 64mb graphics card, and 512mb RAM... from your post it sounds like Civ 4 isn't suitable to run on my PC.

I have below spec. I think if you want to upgrade your computer, the priority is like this:
- Memory (at least 1Gb RAM).
- 256 Graphic Card (IMHO, looks like ATI give less problem than NVIDIA).

Just my 2 cents.
