Team Space Race Game

I'm starting an online multiplayer game where the goal is to cooperate and produce a spaceship as fast as possible, both in game terms and real-life time. Even so, it will probably take 6-8 hours total.

This thread is to discuss strategies and document our progress.
 
Same with Stuck :D

I would recomend doing this on a weekend, especaly when there are no TC are planed on that day (right Stuck :) )
 
First off, game settings.

I propose:
Accelerated Production (With my balanced AP mod)
Regent Difficulty
Standard Map
60% Water Pangea
4-6 human players
No AI civs
Sedentary or no barbarians

As wtiberon, CivGeneral, and I discovered in our test game, there are some bottlenecks in the tech tree where only 2 civs can research required techs. We should have 2 scientific civs with max science improvements research during that time, with the other civs with marketplaces donating gold to them to keep their research high.
 
Hm... so far I know of 4 people.
how about we each do one of the Sci Civs?
Persia, for industry
Greece, for commerce
Russia, for goodie huts
Ottoman (see Persia)
We would need a designated builder. Perhaps one of the 2 industrious? Mabey Otto could be replaced with Korea to ensure that the Builder has the cash.
 
With no AIs or barbarians, we will all be builders. :) If you think that is too easy we can add some. ;)

I agree with your civ breakdown, the 4th player could decide between urban sprawl (commercial) and infrastructure (industrious). Korea needs to build the Colossus and Newton's to trigger their GA.

Early expansion is extremely important. Everyone should build a granary in their capitol to get more setters out. Russia needs to make contact with all civs ASAP.
