Hm.. if QwertySoft wins does this mean we all have to switch operating systems? :p

I'm on a PC(windows 2000), just stuck with 1.29f until I get some cash again. I did have PTW for a while but(as some of you have heard before) the disk shattered inside my CD drive. I get paid on or about march 3rd, so within a week of that I should be running with conquests.

Also, I'd like to let it be known that I've changed my name to be in phase with everything else I am on the internet. (I stopped using QwertySoft in late 2002.) I figured I'd get this out of the way sooner rather than later to avoid too much confusion. Sorry if this causes anyone problems.

Best of luck provo, from a long time, though very poor, once Culture Minister, Deputy, and Chat Representative. Long live Culture!

Provo has been the most dedicated citizen in the last DG IMHO, can't see myself voting against him.

I thank you for all the votes in deep respect and humility. I am amazed to see that the long smear campaign has failed, and that people would much rather play the game.

I will serve the citizens in every possible regard within the bounds of this game and mandate. I presented no program for culture, since culture need no program for Term One. I only need to make Snipelfritz builds enough temples to get more tiles and to build a wonder or two. I will also use this opportunity for a Cabinet Amendment Proposal.

I'm officially conceding right now. (I can do that, right?) A few excerpts from my concession PM:

I was a bit naive to think I'd win an office when I'm just starting out in the DG, and maybe should've at least outlined some general policies or something.

However, I would still like to have an active role in steering the nation towards a highly cultural society, and [...] look forward to working together in the future [towards such a goal].

Perhaps one reason why I didn't outline any policies is that anything I would've said would've pretty much been "oh yeah, what he said", and what's the point of having an election if both candidates agree on all of the issues? Also, I don't think changing my name mid-election helped :/

You can't really concede. To keep it official, we just let the poll run its course of 3 days. There's even no need to concede. You'll be his deputy - you'll still have a say in the cultural aspects of our nation. You put up a good fight, for someone just joining the demogame. :)

I will be more than happy to appoint Xerol to become Secretary of Culture (We are done with American titles now, as we are England) and since we agree on the issues, I let him lead the negotiations with the Technology and Trade Consul for the Wonder Builds.

Yet, we omitted runner-ups as deputies from the Constitution, and all non-elected positions are by appointment. This allows the winner of an office to exclude the most ludicrous and preposterous runner-up candidates, especially as some sign up just to make internal trouble. However, I have PMed Xerol back and forth, and read his posts, and he seems to be a fine, intelligent and morally upstanding citizen, contrary to what was my late deputy. In fact, Secretary of Culture Xerol will be given wide powers in executing cultural leadership of our nation.

Welcome to the Consulate of Culture Xerol

I give my support to Provo in this election for Culture :).
