I think it had more to do with people disliking his attitude. For an official, that's relevant. I did not vote for him in the Science for that reason.

For a DP, though, it doesn't matter. Look at his turn, and the turn of other (including myself). Who provided more information? Blkbird. Has he failed to follow instructions? Not that I've seen. Any hint that he might do so is rather disturbing, especially since nobody bothered to ask the DP's questions during the nomination sequence about that.

Being a DP is one of the most thankless, unpleasant and demanding jobs out there. It takes a strong will to maintain a productive session, and someone who's got some authority to maintain that control if need be. We have 4 DP's this session - that's a pathetically low number. The Civ3 DG has 4 players, and that's 1/3 of the total votes!

Criticize Blkbird for his attitude. Don't criticize him for something that hasn't happened.

As official Censor of the Citiziens Assembly, I declare this poll valid and Declare this is the order of DP'ing decided upon:

Daveshack
Tubby Rower
Chieftess
Civgeneral

I don't think Tubby Rower or CivGeneral held a play session in term 1. I think the law may read that people who don't play the previous term go ahead of those who do, since it was copied from the Civ3 game. If correct on both counts, then the order would be:
  1. Tubby Rower
  2. CivGeneral
  3. DaveShack
  4. Chieftess
Regarding the low number of DP's elected (primarily due to many people declining nominations), we might just have to "accidentally" not make it to our own scheduled play sessions, and see how the Chain of Command works out. :mischief:

The Chain of Command would be the only person other than CT that's in the room 24/7. I sure as hell can't find 3 hours+ of complete uninterrupted free-time to run a turnchat.

Hell... I'm lucky if I can find 15 minutes uninterrupted.
