Term 2: Nominations

Ok, here we go, term 2 will start on turn 26 of the game, we'll need to put up nominations.

So, we need these positions filled:

Internal Affairs dude (aka president)

Military Affairs dude

Foreign Affairs dude

Justice of the Court

Nominations finish on turn 23 and then the elections will start.

I nominate Donovan Zoi for Internal Affairs.

I nominate Cheetah for Justice.

Darn, and I was hoping to meet someone before elections.

You could get yourself re-elected.

I nominate Zarn for Foreign affairs.

As DZ did a good job as Boss, he should be re elected.

That's why I nominated him.

I'll accept my nomination for Justice, and second Zarn for Foreign and DZ for Internal.

I also nominate Peri, Ankka and Hygro for Internal, Ankka, Emp. Napoleon, Matrix and Hygro for Foreign, Matrix, Hygro and Pegster for Military, and Hygro and Emp. Napoleon for Justice.

Looks like all the bases are covered here, although I would like to see Gainy Bo and akots nominated for something. Military, perhaps?

Here is my platform for my campaing. I will make an attempt to create a sutable military force. But first, my first term in office will be to explore undescovered lands for future settelments. Once we get Iron Working, I will urge the domestic department to send a settler to that iron resource and the FAs to create a clam treaty to other Civs.

Looks like I'm the only old guy (37 years). Been playing Civ1 back 16 years ago and all that stuff. Does not mean a thing though in terms of the gameplay. However, it is supposed to be fun. So, just pay no attention.

It would be nice to have DZ as the Internal Affairs and Zarn for Foreign Affairs. And it would be good also if more citizens actually vote. The citizen registry contains many people who never show up. It is their civil duty to vote. May be, pm them all?

I was just wondering whether elections for positions other than the President are really necessary? Everyone is making a direct contribution to the playing of the game with all opinions being treated equally. There is a real sense of teamwork here and I was just thinking perhaps we would be better off without a hierachy.

I would like to nominate akots for both Domestic and Military. He knows what he's doing and deserves a place in the Government for his involvement.

I for one will vote and expect my chosen representatives to be around here and do what I would have done.
