Welcome to the Province of Zarnia! We, umm, the province, erm...

Does anyone else think this place should be named 'Octaviania'? :p

Anyway, this province is the heart of our beloved nation, and home to the capitol city, Fanatikku. The information on our cities above is correct, I believe, but then again, I'm not entirely sure - corrections are appreciated. We'd be honored if someone wished to apply to be Deputy Goveror, or to be a mayor (as I may be looking to replace some deadbeats. :p)

More province-related information may or may not appear here when the term actually begins.

@Oct - How does it feel to have Zarn's province? ;)

Hooray, I am still the mayor! :D

And so many ages ago, I was smart enough to build City Hall right off the beach. Mr. Governor, make sure to bring your sandals if you wish to talk Furuyama policy. I'll be on the deck. ;)

Congratulations Governor Octavian X, I'm sure Zarnia is in good hands!

Sorry to interrupt your day at the bea... discussing important city policy, but have a request to make; En'Gha in Edo province had been using the Wheat tile 1SE of Immo. This tile was polluted and the citizen moved off and not replaced, and now En'Gha is starving at a rate of 5 grain per turn. If something is not done this turn our citizens will start dying. Please will you allow En'Gha to use this tile, if not I can just balance the population as it is if all the currently mined tiles are irrigated (this turn), and a laborer is moved from the hills, but there will obviously be a significant drop in production.

I await your response.

Furiey, Governor of Edo Province

No problem, Mr. Governor! I noticed this, and it was one of the ideas I posted in that recent discussion thread about Zarnia I put up. Immo will retain postive growth without the tile, I believe.

This isn't the first time I've done that, I think. For the longest time after I joined the demogame I thought Padma was a woman. :p

Don't feel bad about Padma. I did the same thing. ;)

If anything, blame Spanish class!

Suggestion: Puh-leeze don't use Zojoji to pump out workers. We have enough workers already. This isn't DG2. We own very little land. We have pretty much improved every tile we own, or that needs improving. If you need to produce workers, do that in Immo, which has always been designated as a Settler/Worker factory. Zojoji is currently the #2 city in the world and is trying to grab the #1 spot. Reducing the population will not help in this. Of course I can see a gain for the people who do not want Zojoji to prosper, but the people of our great city are asking our Governor to reconsider his build queue for Zojoji. Personally, I can't believe you want to use a core city to produce workers. At least in DG2, when Chieftess as President/DP, changed 75% of my posted build queues (I was Governor of Tempest Province), my cities were far from the Capital and FP, so they were fairly corrupt. Let US create Wealth for the Nation, let Immo produce Workers. Let Zojoji's population soar!

Workers??? When the hell does the Space Ship leave.... I need to book a ticket...

Just to counter some of the other brilliant suggestions you've been getting Governor, and yes, I've seen you rereading this post and the discussion thread in the Citizen's sub-forum twice now without answering, you might want to look at some facts.

Zojoji produces around 110 shields per turn. By building workers, you will be wasting 100 shields per turn. Zojoji can build a Battleship or Carrier in 2 turns, it can build the Palace in 9 turns. And you want to build Workers?

Zojoji is number 21 on the list for cities with extra food. That means approx. 50% of Japanatica's cities have more extra food than Zojoji, making them better candidates to produce Workers. But you want to use a core city for this.

Japanatica has only 6 polluted tiles in the last save (regardless of what some people will tell you). We have 67 native Workers and God knows how many foreign Workers to develop our small footprint nation. Why would we want to use Zojoji to build more. Have you ever had a Civ3 game with 6 whole polluted tiles? I have, and with twice the land area and half the workers.

Please don't waste Zojoji's time by putting Workers in our build queue. Don't throw away 100 shields per turn. It doesn't take much to think of ANYTHING better than Workers for Zojoji to produce.

Governor Octavian X, if Zojoji should be the winner of this poll, please change the production for this city to the United Nations Wonder on completion of the next unit. If Zojoji does not win, please disregard this message.

Hmm, do we have a UN prebuild? Zozoji sounds like a good place to put one once we get far enough to start it. :D

We can start the prebuild right now. It will take 8 turns to complete, just in time for the UN, which will be built on turn 8.

But... wouldn't that actually complete the palace on the turn we discover Fission? We'd have to do some manipulation with the advisor screens that sometimes is banned in PBEM, I think.

Ah well. Irregardless, I'd like to encourage everybody to vote in the Culture Ministry's UN Locatopm Poll in favor of locating the UN in Zojoji. I understand we have a pretty clear majority in favor of that location, but it never hurts to help. :D
