yeah maybe you could build in a coastal city but it is not activated, then, when it is where you want it to be you activate it and it becomes immoble...but you cant do that in the editor sry...
that would also make sea mines more realistic and easier for the AI... oh well thats just my idea
feh, I think we should leave sea tiles alone, the AIs' land, and those who just automate workers land looks like hell in a hand basket (thanks who ever recentlly used that expression on the forums )anyway, no need I think to make the 7 seas look like crap too....
no but war has played a huge part in creating the world we live in today. It is for this reason it should be included in the game and feature heavily. I agree that it shouldn't turn into a command and conquer style game but improvements can still be made. Like the quote- didn't hear it tho, mind you he's slightly overshadowed by George Dubya's mistakes. Some of those are hilarious
A dramatic part, but incomperable to the impact of farming, trade, literature, etc. It's a real challenge to make an engaging game about these things. I fear the game slipping into just another wargame.
I'd welcome texas towers if the game included like details that weren't war related.
no i agree, i like Civ because it combines my favourite aspects from loads of different games. All i'm suggesting is that we have more options in different areas of the game to increase its realism. This is why i want more natural resources etc.. and wonders- i'm sorry if i appear obsessed with war but i believe this part of the game can be improved. The same applies to trade and diplomacy.
There are many problems with the war portion of the game, especially the AI's ability to sustain any sort of offensive or to make an amphibious assult. These need to be fixed before adding any more variables into the equation.
