Thank you all and a question

I've been playing Civ II years ago and recently bought Civ III and PTW. Starting on regent level, I was really shocked how complicated Civ III has become, compared to Civ II . I had to cheat to win on regent for the first two games, but this was really unsatisfaying. Reading the articles in this forum greatly improved my style. Now I'm near my first win on emperor . Thank you all!!!!

I have one question: Since I want fast games (limited amount of time) I normally switch on Accelerated Production. In one of the threads, I read that would give the human an advantage over the AI. Is that true and if, what's the reason for it? I'm playing fully patched PTW.

I'm guessing that it gives the human the advantage because the AIs advantage at the beginning of the game (more settlers, more workers, some military units...) will come to an end faster because of the game pace, you can build more advanced stuff faster, there for you can match the AIs advantage sooner.

Ok, sounds reasonable, but means it's only a slightyl advantage.
