The 2000 Hour Club...

I use Epic speed, and play mostly large and huge maps. Games can take awhile, but I like the convenience of being able to sit down and do a few turns, then get back up and get back at things without having to start up the game and load my latest.

I have 1830 hours for Civ5 and 407 hours for Civ6...

Just started another game as Brazil. It's hard to explain why this game has more appeal to me than civ5. Even in the fairly early stages, there are more fun things to do in this game than in Civ5 (even with expansions). I'm on Brazil on TSL Earth map. I want to challenge myself a little with a jungle start. South America isn't that good to start, and takes a massive amount of terraforming to make good. I did expand a little into North America. I couldn't resist making a city on my home town (Las Vegas), it's not that great a location, but with trade routes it can be viable, and the desert squares can house districts or wonders. I had to conquer the Aztec capital to get there, but I'm not doing a war game. Culture victory for me.

My main hope is the dev's don't abandon this game and continue to improve it. It has great potential.

OK, I realize I'm helping to derail my own thread here, but are you freakin' kidding me? A challenge with Brazil on TSL? Other than Australia, Brazil is the most OP civ for TSL.. and why on earth would you terraform the jungle when you're Brazil? Build CHICKEN PIZZA and you're gold... then upgrade a bunch of Quads to Frigates... and rush your UU, then easily conquer the world since most of it is coastal.

Dude, seriously.

Oh, and btw, the Las Vegas location is absolutely killer for Petra.

Steam says i have 612 hours so far, but i'd say over a third of that is AFK. i just got home from work and realized the game has been running since last night

374 for Civ 6 so far. Total number of completed games: 4. And I mostly play on Quick speed!

I have a bit of a 'butterfly mind' so a lot of that time is tabbed out browsing while the AI takes its turn. But a lot of it is just abandoned games. I enjoy the set-up portion of games quite a lot more than the final third. I had this in Civ 5 too, but I did usually play through to the end (over 2,500 hours there!). These days I'm hardly ever bothered to. Somehow, once I know how a game will turn out, rolling a new map to explore and expand a new empire on seems more appealing...

>10,000 in Civ 5 (the game was around for many many years!) and >1000 with Civ 6. Haven't hit 2000 yet. I play Civ exclusively

I haven't played anything past civ III, so I'm a bit out of place here, but I don't believe that matters here. I recently finished a game that took 541 some hours... though I did leave it on overnight while I went to sleep a few times, I think.

Blimey, Crikey, Gawd Luv Us, not only am I over the 3000 I also play nothing else!

(Dave Braben's Elite Dangerous requires continuous intertoobs, which I don't have on principle as all English providers require landline rental which I don't need - otherwise there IS something else I'd play...:D)

Love the dedication of everyone here!

I got Civ V at release, and managed to rack up over 1300 hours. It's the game I've played the most of, ever.

For Civ VI I think I will shoot way past that mark. Im currently over 400 hours. While it's not as much as some of you guys, I'm damn proud of it haha.

I do play a number of other games at the moment though:
Star Wars Battlefront
Battlefield 1
Stellaris
F1 2015
Gremlins Inc
Beyond Earth
Endless Legend
Master of Orion 2016
Cities: Skylines
Atilla and Rome 2 Total War

Blimey, it looks a lot when I write it down. I guess I haven't played some of these for over a month or two though...

Russia is the most OP civ for TSL... at least on the Giant Earth TSL map.

Just started Petra in my Washington game... San Diego for me, not Las Vegas, but I assume the Yosemite Valley is where you're talking about?

edit: hell, if Russia isn't the most OP civ on any map, I haven't played as a stronger one.

edit 2: although Peter gives a respectful nod to Cyrus when they pass on the street.

edit 3: okay, I take that back... map size is important. The smaller the map, the more the weight shifts to early rushes.

I just got to 250 hours on Civ VI, 2326 hours on Civ V. Are you from my part of the world Amtrak?

4,560 hours on V

381 hours on VI

Vs data is skewed. Before upgrading my computer I would leave the game loaded for days without playing as the load times were pretty poor on my outdated system. Child did the same.

VI is pretty much spot on, maybe a dozen or so hours too much when I think I'll be able to get back to the game but can't get back for a couple of hours. Kid doesn't play as minecraft multiplayer eats up all his game time. At the stage where patches/expansions are what will keep me going, which fits well as its summer time and game time is going to be pretty limited until winter.

Jesus dude, that's way too much. Civ VI has only been out for like 200 days, that's like 10 hours a day playing Civ...like more than a full time job.

I'm at like 500 hours and I've been unemployed and compulsively playing Civ for most of the last 4 months.

Like, go outside, find a girlfriend, play a sport, get a dog.

I have a GF. I hate dogs... stupid, crotch-sniffing retards. Have a cat though... very cool.

Cannot join your club. The game I have is shared by some people but together we have not only made it to 1000 yet.
Does your GF play?
