Yeah I know it's not as good as an 8800 but, I don't want to buy a heavy duty power supply

The price will hurt its sales, IMO. A 512MB 8800GT can be had for only $20 more after rebates.

Speaking of it, I just got my tax rebates back and put in an order for this.

Im waiting for the promised 9800 GTX. Cus the 9600 is just a rehash of the 8800 GT..Its somewhat slower, less memory. Its meant to replace the 8600, not the 8800...

I know, that's why I want it - So I don't have to have a heavy duty power supply to run it.

well, my case is different. Were I to buy a new system now, I would be looking for top-range stuff that can last me two years. Sure the 9600 can as well, but it wouldnt be nearly as pleasing. Plus the price point isnt justifiable enough for me right now.

Especially since I think the 9800 GT will be over $400. Could be wrong.

I think it has been promised to be basically two 8800 GT's in SLI though. I could be wrong, but only time will tell.
