The Air Force & Coast Guard should make video games!

I'd rather see a border guard game.

It would probably be like whack-a-mole though

Air Force I would agree with, if it wasn't for Tom Clancy's HAWX. It does use technology that doesn't exist (Mind you, it takes place in between the years of 2016-2020s), but it uses real planes with realistic states, and you can use Russian planes as well as American (Because we know if the Air Force had its own game, we'd only be able to use American planes). Granted, it lacks strategic bombers and other planes, and it could use more variety than "DESTROY THE TANKS, PROTECT THE FLEET, DESTROY ENEMY BANDITS, ESCORT THE PLANE, DESTROY THE TANKS, etc, etc".

Coast Guard, however, sounds stupid. I mean, unless we do something completely unrealistic like a Ruskie or Chinese invasion, the missions will be like "PREVENT THE ILLEGAL CUBAN IMMIGRANTS FROM GETTING TO THE SHORE, STOP THE DRUG TRAFFICER, PREVENT THE ILLEGAL CUBAN IMMIGRANTS FROM GETTING TO THE SHORE, etc, etc.".

And that wouldn't make a good Coast Guard simulation?

but boring, and hence, a simulator, as opposed to a video game such as you request in the thread title.

BTW america's army sucks

Tom Clancy's HAWX is just an abomination unto mine eyes, however, after playing Ace Combat series for PS2. I mean, I heard it was the most graphically advanced combat air sim in the market, it's like 10gb of download IIRC, and I open it up and... WTH IS THIS

I mean, it's not necessarily the graphics that even matter, but the flight engine was so ridiciclous!!! I couldn't stand it, it's like an FPS where you float slightly above the ground, no footsteps, no head bobbing when you walk, no collision effects with objects, in terms of playability for me.

Now I’m openly against using electronic entertainment as a recruiting tool, due to the simple premise that individuals who join the service based on a video game experience are likely to be very disappointed when they find out that they will be spending a majority of their time “Standing by to stand by” while in their video game reality, they single handedly repelled an invasion by the VDV.

Now this is a parody piece, but I think it would be a better game:

Also, for those who are interested in a border protection simulation:

There also exists the fictional border protection simulation called Homeland Defense USA which is based around the player operating a CBP & Border Patrol checkpoint on the US/Mexico Border.
