These are the techs i need for the units. Add as many more as you want.

EDIT: Finaly 2 pages

Not all of them are muslim, one is russian and one is american rebels.

I'm not sure we should use mech units. This is only 15 years in the future and 5 have been pretty much a dark age.

Here's some more info for about the factions:

ARM (American Resistance Movement- forgot to explain that)
Industrious, Agricultural (co-op helps distribute food), Commercial (co-op again)
4/5 agressive, democratic gov't, fair start position (Jersey) and unit selection

Veritas- Lord Truth
Religious, Militaristic, Expansionist
5/5 agression, totalitarian gov't, fair start position (upper right) and units, locked war w/ everyone

Gangs (East and West)- filler civs, shouldn't be playable IMO
Militaristic, Commercial, Industrious (?)
5/5 agression, ??? gov't, secure start (top pf map) but weak units (should be eliminated by "invading" factions), locked war against each other, NYPD

NYPD
Seafaring?, Militaristic, Expansionist
3/5 agression, ??? gov't, secure start (guarded stations all over), all unique units, fairly strong, locked war w/ gangs, SONSU

Sons of the New Soviet Union
Scientific, Militaristic, Expansionist
5/5 agression, Communist gov't, weak start (long island) but best units, locked war w/ NYPD

Criminals (barbs)
Theif, Thug, Raft?

:p Mech units are fun, more people will play the game if they can build huge robots. They should be huge in cost and only avaliable about at the last half of thr last age.

I highly recommend you make a couple civs (perhaps US & Russian small remaining gov civs) with advanced units and use Bebro's futuristic infantry, mech inf and tank sets for them. Those unit sets were recently bumped in the unit graphics section and you can see them on the first page. This is idea is similar to Fallout 2 game which has the Brotherhood of Steel and the orginal American government high tech and crisp while all other factions were run-down wasteland gangs. Maybe a good idea. :)

When I looked @ WWWeasel's post on the civs it included the attributes seafaring & agricultural which are from the civ3 expansion, I only have civ3 vanilla/1.29f patch so scrath that idea :(

Nothing is set in stone yet, but there are several C3C features i would like to use. Hey, it's just $10 or something like that, go buy it! ;)

I don't exactly what mood and atmosphere you are trying to create, but my impression was a kinduv urban warfare, almost Fallout (game) type of feeling. So I dont' think that dreadnought thing (you mean Blueo's dreadnaught??) is gonna look good at all in it. For me it would kill the game having big silly-looking robots in the game instead of more realistic units cause you said its only 15 years in the future. Also the laser infantry is iffy too. I really think you should check out Bebro's excellent units like his futuristic infantry, APC's and tanks. I havent' tried them but the pictures look cool.

WWWeasal said we might not want to put the robots in, i dont really know. Yes, it is Urbanwarfare.
I'll take a look at Bebro, future infnantry.

(Blue0's dreredaut is just cool looking isn't it?:band:)

IMHO you could replace the term Un-american with one of the following:
Integrationists=because NSU wants to integrate all other countries
Internationalists=same but on the more positive side
Autonomists or Neo-separatists. I hope allahu akbar that was proposed was a joke. Can you imagine a civ called Sweet Lord Jesus?
But hey that's my two euros....

:bump:
@WWWeasal, do you have anything to say about the map?

@unscratchedfoot, i looked at the future infantr and they look pretty nice, i guess a huge dragon isn't exacly the thing to put in an urban warfare mod.

@garbarsardar Integrationalist and autonomists sound good. "Sweet Lord Jesus "

@shadowdude Too bad c3c, isn't that much, see what you can buy with loose change and the money on floors :lol:

It looks pretty good, but like I said before I think we should take advantage of all terrain types. We could do something like SimCity, with different R/C/I levels, both to vary the terrain and add more strategy. You mentioned earlier using residential, commercial, etc zones with different amounts of food/money/labor or whatever. I don't know a lot about NYC, what types of zones are there?

btw, it's WeasEL, not WeasAL. :p
