K we will get the latest patch on the saturday night before the game. It will be each individuals responsability.

Im sorry to here you wont be able to play rocklike a fool.
 
If any one wants to test compatability prior to game i will be available Thursday.
Would 8pm GMT be ok for you all.
It will just be a quick compatability test for everyone who needs it. We will launch teh game and play 5 turns.
Please all download the latest FFH patch before hand. You will also nee dthe latest Civ, BTS patches too.
 
A test would be nice. Will try to remember it :)
 
I tried to hook up yesterday with danielseses and we couldn't see each-others games. If we ran the vanilla civ we could see all games in circulation, but not when we did FFH.

Quite certain I have CIV 1.74, BtS 3.17 and FfH 0.32 L. Like tripple checked.

Any ideas? Could use a little help.
 
Use Direct IP instead of a Lobby. Most people who manage to play MP FfH do it in that manner (that is what they are actually using when talking about Hamhachi Networks. Hamhachi is just a little chat interface that reveals your IP address.)

Yes. Most likely. However, right now I do not think it will work.
 
THats wiered danielseses and me got it working fine as soon as he downloaded civ IV 1.74.
Ill be able to test with u arctic but not till thursday, that ok ?

Of course. I just suspect that thursday, it will not work. And then I'll just hope you have some good idea on what to. Awaiting thursday however, I will remove and reinstall Fall From Heaven. Civ 1.74 I allready have.
 
Not that i can think off, only i dont use the media pack. We could try it wothout that but ithink SMIFF uses teh media pack and ive been pk with him before.

It is free secure (even the dload site is secure) virtual IP networking software for connecting without one's actual IP and thus allowing certain accesses. The chat part is incidental and the point is to not reveal/use your actual IP. It never bugs you to pay anything, it's a tiny program and it provides secure virtual direct IP connections. I think its primary use is networking other than gaming, but it serves our purposes.

So, if you want to direct IP with a condom and avoid the gamespy mess, google hamachi and search forum for threads with networks.
 
Hamachi is great. It's the only thing that could make it possible to play NWN2 multiplayer :P
 
hamachi directly links your innermost ip adress into its network,
dam that does sound unsafe...
