The Civilopedia

Does anyone out there know if it is at all possible to get the civilopedia off of the game to read w/o having to load the game?

Please do not give me a website. Thanx!!!

Not that I know of....

It would be nice if someone can make a utility program that does that though. It's useful when you just want to check something in the Pedia when composing a post on the forum, for example.

Actually, yes, it's very easy.

Go to C:/Program Files/Infogrames Interactive/Civilization III/Text/, and select Civilopedia.txt. (If you have PTW, put a /Civ3PtW/ before CivIII and Text, if you have C3C, put a /Conquests/ between them).

This is how people can 'mod' the civilopedia as well, and change it.
