I found out about Dave Barry's books by pure chance.

It so happens that my sister's school also serves as Sunday School for the local Church and one Monday, she just happened to put her hand in the desk and Voila! there was a novel by some guy called Dave Barry, apparently left behind by a Sunday School attendee.

The next day, I was startled by violent laughing and knocking over of things in my sister's room and rushed in to find that she was rolling on the floor, laughing uncontrollably and pointing wordlessly at "Big Trouble", by Dave Barry. I picked up to read it and needless to say the same course of events were repeated in my room.:rotfl::rotfl:

So I went out and bought "Dave BArry hits below the Beltway" and nearly had my innards fall out from laughing too hard.

Anyway, I want to know how many of you have hear of Dave BArry, read his columns, his books, etc. and what was the worst consequence of laughing too hard.:D

I read his columns whenever I see them and usually get a chuckle. I saw him interviewed by Clive James once and he was hillarious. I`ll keep an eyr out for those books:)

I've read his I'm not taking this sitting down or something to tat effect book. I found it marginally entertaining, I much more prefer the onion.

I've heard he writes his columns for the Miami herald, not sure about what really. Besides, I am on the lookout for more of his books and novels.:D

He writes a daily/weekly column in the Miami Herald. Just a commentator type thing. Some of his columns are definately political satire, but for the most part it's just general humor.

Click here to see his page at www.herald.com, the Miami Herald newspaper he works for.

He's a hilarious guy. I read his colums every Sunday, though I can't say I've read one of his books.

Just a sample...
"The Internet is a giant international network of intelligent, informed computer enthusiasts, by which I mean, "people without lives." We don't care. We have each other..."

His column runs in most newspapers on sundays. I usually read it, sometimes it's funnier than others, but always humorous. My parents have a few of his books, I think.

Anyway, he also writes a weblog, found here .
