I really like the Age of Empires Games.
I'm interested in your favorites

Age of Empires games are boring IMO, or at least the Single Player mode is. The AI always goes for you, ignoring their neighboours (unless they actually overlap). The AI is also unimaginably stupid.
It is incredibly easy when you press F3 (pause) and then give your commands, gets you a really quick start.
Overall poor games, but on the internet they can be fun.

My favourite type games are First Person Shooters - multiplayer. They are just soo fun :D Counterstrike and Battlefield 1942 are the best in my opinion. I don't particularly like Unreal Tournament or whatever, but it is the only game that is half-decent that I can run on this pc (an play online) -- which I don't do anymore.

In a month or two, i'll have a new computer, and a fast connection. You won't be able to hold me back :D

Edit: For Single player, I like the Fifa games (which are great 1 v 1 also), and Civilisation.

Might I point out This thread?

Personally, I like RPG's, they're good fun single player, and if I had a credit card, I'd probably play MMORPG's too.

Genres I like (and ex of best type in that genre)

fighting games (Marvel VS Capcom)
FPS (Quake III)
RTS (Starcraft)
Sports (Soccer)
board games (Chess)
Card games (Texas Hold em')

That covers about all other games for me...

I dont really like RPG all that much. In fact my opinion on them will sound very hostile if u ask me(partly due to my theory on games should be)... but I do like Final fantasy 6 and chrono trigger. Pretty much for nostalgic reasons though.

For me, I believe good game should be about competing, socialising, using skill wit and making strategies. So single player games bore me. Multiplay is what draws me. And a good strategic one that has depth and lot of mindbattles. I guess you can say I am very driven to play to win, but even when i lose, i wanna walk away shaking my head thinking about how crazy the match was when my opponent outwitted me and how he did something i totally didnt not anticipate etc.. i guess im addicted to competition and psychology of human minds... :p

I dont consider games that uses imagination and fantasy and stroy driven games, games at all. It just feels like interactive movie to me. Some people enjoy those kind of games more, and its their preference... but not for me.
