After some time spent waiting for a new patch to FfH2 .41m, and now realing from the big reveal, I'm wondering what the future holds for FfH2?

No, he's asking about FfH2 specifically, unless I'm reading that post wrong. In that case, FfH2 has been in feature lock for a while and it's basically bug fixes and AI from here on out.

I sent a PM to a few players asking for the list of issues that must be fixed before FfH2 is closed out. Ive gotten the list back and I will be working on it this weekend. I want to make sure that we don't leave a major issue in FfH2, but the truth is that most of my time is going to another project.

So my hope is to put together one last patch and hit the major issues. I know it wont fix everything for everyone. And there may be a few issues I cant fix (I wish scenario loading from within the game worked better but there is little I can do about it).

This is not an invitation to fill this thread with bug requests. Only letting you guys know what my plans are.

Could you tell us what this new project is? I'm sure plenty of us are interested.

Well, in base there are only two main issues I can see, although I doubt they will be changed.

One. Dragons come too late in the tech vs their power to be of use

Two. Chalid comes to early in the tech for his power to be balanced

I think Orbis' take on Dragons was pretty good as an example for NeoBase. Namely, strength is the same (So Dragons aren't Uber) yet their Dragon's breath turns into a VERY strong fire-based Area of Attack spell. When Pillar of Fire, Dragon's Breath, and Snowfall are all roughly equivalent ... its a happy day.

Are you still looking for Lore entries for the pedia? If so, it might be worth necroing this thread (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=329958) and putting an end date on it.

You forgot to mention the game breaking OOS?

Yeah Breunor is awesome, he was one of the people I went to to help be identify the critical issues. And his feedback, as always, was excellent.

Personally I would like to see the taunt fixed. Should be easy since Sephi already has made a fix. The issue that ruined most for me.

Kael, is your future project going to be something we will be able to play in the future? Because to be honest I love your work on this and definitely would like to try other games you lend your hand to.

I believe these are still on the todo list:
. Sometimes caged units can be moved and then impossible to free (they are still "held" even though they arent in the tile with the cage). Such as when dying while immortal. I'll probably need to make a separate promotion for being caged rather than just held to fix this.
. Temp terrains sometimes keep permanent terrain changes form happening (such as building a temple of the hand while the deepening effect is still going on).
. I want to switch the "Wrath" armageddon event (AC 90) to make all the effected units Always Hostile so they can fight with your allied neighbors.

Your wish is our command ... well my command anyways.

I'm always ready, as I've said before, to file the paperwork, brew the coffee, and recapture the radio tower - if Rico and his gang of toughs haven't demolished it.

Good luck on the new project.
