The god dam jungle

Is it just normal for jungles to take up more time in getting it sorted for a civilization to live there because im jsut wodnering if im lacking as im spending a lot of time clearing jungle. Even though i am the most powerful civilization.

Jungles just take ages to clear. I was Rome, a democracy, the main power on the planet, and it still took me ages to clear jungles.

You can set more than one worker on one jungle patch, though.

...I usually have groups of 4-6 workers roaming around till I get democracy, then I have a bunch of 3's and a lot of 5's....lots of workers, enough to clear huge swaths of jungle...damn ai though, they just won't act like a real civ, they act more like an id...gimme gimme gimme ;p

If I'm not mistaken, the best you can get is late game under democracy with replacable parts and an industrious civ, a 5 worker team clearing jungles. Four to clear and one to build a road out.

Once you figure out the right number, that's the way to do it IMNSHO. The slightly better unit ordering and stack movement makes it easier of course.
