The Great Librairy give 2 tech from 2 different civs, what if there is only one left?

I am playing a PBM game with my friend and we have eliminated all other civ, so its a face off between him and me only. I am a bit behind in science, about 2 and a half tech to be more precise, I thought that building the Great library would give me a boost, but will I only get one tech or 2 ? please, help me !

You won't get any. You only get techs that at least two other civilizations already have. If there is only one other civ left, than there can't be any techs that at least two other civs have.

If there's only one civ left, tech is HARDLY your problem...

So then, althought it says in the civilopedia that you get 2 techs from 2 civs, has anyone ever had the experience of building a Great library with only one civ left which was atleast 2 techs in advance of you.

I'm not sure what the civilopedia says but I don't think it says that. It should say something along the lines of getting any tech known by at least 2 civs you have contact with.

you dont get 2 tchs, you get every tech already discovered by 2 KNOWN civs until you discovery education. if there is only 1 civ left apart from you, then it will do nothign but get you culture.

better come up with another way to get those techs or you shall be joining those AI civs
