Dear all,

The Huns unique ability, as it was in CEP, had changed to "babarians surrender upon defeated". But now I see that the CPP has changed it back to razing cities faster.

What is the rationale behind this? I always find this ability useless because it kills cities, which doesn't really help building a strong empire.

The CEPchanges haven't been added yet, so there haven't been any changing back at all

Also the hun UA is more than razespeed, they start with an extra tech and get 1 extra production from pastures.

Actually razing at twice the normal speed was intended to reduce unhappiness from taking cities faster so that you could take more cities faster without being in negative happiness. If you have to sit there taking city after city and slowly raze them all then you are going to suffer massive unhappiness while you do it. If you prefer to puppet instead of raze then the ability is not very useful. I personally raze any city I take that doesn't have a wonder in it. Usually the AI cities suck compared to where I would place my own and having my own population without the occupied unhappiness is just better anyway. I prefer playing tall but if I was going wide I would definitely only use the Huns just for this benefit. It would make putting my own cities in place of the ones I take a LOT easier.
