The incredible stupid question

I start the game selecting the continental map which shows the worlds as a sphere. When I play the game the map is flat. How can I plan on a spherical world?

Real people didn't realize they were living on a sphere right away either...

The map is always displayed flat. You can't access globe view until you research Stonehenge or the Calendar.

Yeah. The first time I got stonehenge i soomed all the way out. Was cool seeing the planet amongst the stars. Then when I scrolled all the way in one direction I just HAD to smile.

just use the scroll on your mouse to zoom out and you will get a nice spherical world
