The Indian Empire

The First Navy, under the command of Admiral Fish sails towards the Roman coast and the port city of Naples. So, far the invasion of Italia has gone relatively smoothly, with the exception of the huge losses at Veii. Admiral Fish looks out at the sea from the bridge of his flagship, the Vengeance. It is his task to defend the last of the invasion force, General Hamlet’s army. So far, a few brave Roman captains have brought their ships within his massive guns range and are now siting at the bottom of the waters.

Hamlet’s forces land with little opposition and set up positions to capture the Roman city. Like previous sieges, the Romans send a few probing attacks to determine the strength of the Indian army. Two Roman knight regiments charge from the city and are thrown back by the Indian rifles, but at a loss. Hamlet is now without his only elite Rifle Regiment, the 3rd Rifles. Rather than using his cannon against the city, Hamlet orders them west, with a group of Rifle Regiments, to stop any Roman reinforcements coming from the capital, Roma. He gives command of this force to a young Colonel, Colonel U. Scratched Foot. Hamlet uses the guns from the First Navy to begin the bombardment of Naples.

Hamlet, like his forefathers before him, was always impatient when it came to sacking cities and does not give the shore bombardment enough time to complete their task and orders his calvary forward. Losses are horrific on both sides, but the sheer number of troops that Hamlet throws at Naples is enough to cause the city to fall. Hamlet walks into the city proud once again of his boys who took the city and even managed to leave the barracks and harbor facilities relatively intact. He can now rest his tired and bloody forces while Generals Civanator and Das march to his position so that they can press the invasion towards Rome. Slave labor is used to build the rail lines between Veii, Naples and New Delhi to help.

While the Indian troops are regrouping in Naples, Foot is met on the fields by a Roman counterattack. The Roman Knight Regiments throw themselves at the Indian positions but are thrown back time and time again by Foot’s rifles and cannon. Col. Foot sees an opening and decides to take it. He moves his forces to the outskirts of the Roman city of Pompeii to deny the Roman Army of their one and only Horse Pastures. The Roman army will have to continue the war against the Modern Indian army with nothing other than primitive Swordmen.

----

Please note that due to my lost notes, the names of the Roman cities may or may not be one and the same.
edit: up next.... the attack of Rome!

As the armies of General Hamlet, Das and Civanator slowly moved across Italia, Roman cities continued to fall. Occasionally the Romans would sent out relief forces to assist the beleaguered cities but they never made it through the defensive wall established by Colonel Foot and his men. Colonel Foot also continued to harass and shell the city of Pompeii and when the offensive might of General Das’s weakened force arrive, Pompeii is a little more than a smoking ruin. General Das takes the city with little effort and Foot is sent back to Hamlet and the attack on Rome itself.

Generals Civanator and Hamlet continue to march towards Rome and through the remnants of the Roman Army. Rome, the once masters of the waters is almost non-existent. Caesar knows that Rome’s days on the world stage are rapidly fading and the only way to retain any hopes of independence is to sue for peace. Emissaries from Rome arrive in Delhi and are promptly asked to leave. For generations Indian ships have been subjected to Roman whims, even in Indian waters. Time is at least to even the score. Rome has spent her treasury on being a sea power and is now paying for that mistake dearly.

General Hamlet arrives at the outskirts of Rome first and knows the political power that will come to the General that captures the city. General Das’ ancestor was given a knighthood for the taking of London during the English Wars and know Hamlet figures that his family is due. Once again, Hamlet is eager for victory and disregards Foot’s suggestion of an artillery barrage prior to the assault. After all the second fleet has been stationed outside Rome’s harbors since the landings and shells have been landing in Rome for days. The First 2 Calvary charges are a success and spies indicate that a lone Spear Regiment is all that stands between Rome’s existence and her death. General Hamlet decides to lead the last and final charge himself and the 4th Calvary charges the city. The Romans know that defeat is inevitable but valiantly defend their homes, the 4th Calvary charge is stopped dead in its tracks. General Hamlet’s horse, Shakespeare, returns riderless.

Not wanting to believe his General dead, Colonel Foot orders his Rifles to attack and the city of Rome is overrun by a ruthless mob of men, itching to make the Romans pay dearly for the loss of their General. As the fighting turns into looting, Colonel Foot finds General Hamlet in a dark alley clutching a spent rifle with his empty pistols at his feet. All around the General are dead Romans. The General is rushed to his field tent and the army surgeon is summoned. General Hamlet have never been known to show as much concern for his men as General Das, but this army, thousands strong, clustered around his tent waiting for word of his fate. As the surgeon exits the tent, soaked in blood he motions to Colonel Foot and whispers in his ear. "The General will live."

Colonel Foot turns to the mass of men pressing as close as possible, all wanting to be the first to hear the news. "The General will fight again!" and the men began to cheer. Victory is complete, the Romans have gone the way of the English.

Many generations have passed since the Roman and English problems have been erased. India has remained in a state of peace with her neighbors. India has maintained a strong tie with her tow largest neighbors, the Aztecs and Iroquios. India has also assisted Iroquois and her continental ally, Germany in their struggle over the evil Babylonians. Although no Indian troops were ever sent to the theater of operations, the India’s naval might successfully blocked Babylonian ports from much needed Russian raw materials. The wars conclusion saw the mighty Babylonian empire lowered to "third world status".

The Ambrost Isles, named after the famous Indian explorer Ambrost, remains the only Indian possession far removed from India proper, over the last few decades, the Russians have become more and more belligerent over the ownership of these islands. India discovered them and was the first to settle but Russia and America are closer and have also establish cities. The next great crisis to the Indian people, will be these holdings.

_________

The High Priest of the cult of Arathorn strolls into the Prime Ministers office. This priest, known to all as Arathorn is the 25th in a long line of men to hold that name. They are responsible for the technological advances made by the Indian people throughout the years.

"Sir, a new deposit of Uranium has been discovered north of Ambrost City. It is currently under our control but reports indicate that the Russian have learned of our discovery."
"This is not good news. The Russians have been without a source for some time now and may have their eyes on this resource. Send some Divisions out to Ambrost to hold our positions."
"I will inform the Ministry of Defense and any spare Regiments will be sent as soon as possible."

As Arathorn leaves the office, the Russian ambassador barges in.

"Russia has suffered your taunts for the past decade. We demand that you give us some of this green glop so that Russia can once again place herself in her rightful place as the leader of the world."

"I am sorry ambassador, A have here a signed treaty with another nation selling our excess Uranium holdings. Should Russia ever be willing to pay for our excesses, we may be willing to make some arrangements."

"You shall pay for your arrogance." With that the Ambassador throws some papers on the Ministers desk and storms out.

Prime Minister Janus Bagalore IX picks up the discarded documents and reads the top line. "Declaration of War."

Word is quickly sent to the Ambrost Islands to prepare for a Russian invasion.

Russian troops roll across the border, the new Russian Armor Divisions proving to much for the Obsolete Rifle and Infantry Regiments guarding the frontier fortresses. The Russian assault is briefly halted at the northernmost Indian outpost, Ambrost Farms. This city once was responsible for supplying horses to the calvary regiments but has fallen on hard times since the invention of tanks. Being the closest city to Russia, Ambrost Frames is home to 5 Regiments the top of the line Indian Mechanized Infantry. The Russian forces are stopped as they must find a way through the hastily built Indian defenses.

______

As the Russian forces first cross the border, the Iroquois and Aztec governments honored their Mutual Protection Pacts with India and declare war on Russia. An envoy is sent to America and President Lincoln refuses aid to India during this Russian invasion. American possessions on the Ambrost Islands are south of India’s and defensive forces are kept in Ambrost City in case America decides to take her share of India’s holdings.

As India’s allies being to mobilize, Babylonia enters the war on the side of Russia and declares war on Iroquois Iroquois forces are now to be tied up in their homeland and thus will be of little use to the Ambrost Islands. Germany seeing a chance to take more of Babylonian lands declares war on her neighbor and the third Iroquois-German-Babylonian war beings.

_____

Back in Ambrost Farms, the Russian forces finally break through, although costly. 10 Divisions of Russian Armor are left to rust in the subburbs. The Russian victory at Ambrost Farms is enough for America. They decide that if they want any land in the isles, they must enter the war and thus America declares war on India. Governor Ambrost, a long-long decedent of the famous explorer is now between the proverbial rock and a hard place. His top notch defensive forces were lost at Ambrost Farms, he is now fighting a two front war and Indian Reinforcements may not arrive in time. He hastily sends a dispatch to Delhi.

_______
New Delhi:
"Sir, word from Governor Ambrost. It appears that Ambrost Farms has fallen and his forces are in a tight spot. He has a proposition that he wishes to make."

The aid hands the dispatch over. Bangalore reads the note and makes his decision....

---------------
Sorry no maps, but the game has been over for sometime and I am finally getting around to writing it upand can not find where I saved the pics. (No asteroids this time :)). I have been at peace since Rome fell and missed my chance to take part in the Babylonian war :( I may have to adlib and send some General there just to take me jabs at them:D during the latest conflict. The summary is from notes and memory.

World Status
India, Iroquois and Azteca all are at war with America and Russia.
Iroquois and Germany are at war with Babylonia
The Eqyptians and Greeks are currently at peace with everyone.

Every nation expect for Germany, Iroquios and Babylon are on their own continent/island.

Admiral Fish, of that family is currently sailing an army under the command of one of the Generals to assist Governor Ambrost in the defense of his islands.
Admiral EQ is preparing to sail to Russia to bring the war to the Russian people.
Not sure which General is going where.... must wait and see.

Gee, i don't know. What could it be? Possibly EQ?

Oh yeah, sorry buddy. ENOUGH OF OUR PETTY SQUABBLES! LET US UNITE AND DEFEAT THOSE WHO DARE OPPOSE US! The Russians like to "do it" with farm animals you know. and the Americans....oooohhh....don't get me started on the Americans.

You better be referring to the game Americans, otherwise i'll have to hack into the Pentagon's computers and nuke Canada just for the heck of it.:rocket2:

I am hoping that too. The Admiral has been serving the Indian Nation well that I will give him the benefit of the doubt.
:D

Prime Minister Bangalore picks up the phone and calls over the French Ambassador who promptly arrives at the Ministry Building in beautiful downtown Delhi.

"You requested an meeting Mister Prime Minister?"
"Yes, Ambassador. You are currently aware of the blatant aggression by the Americans and Russians on our holdings in the Ambrost Islands?"
"Yes, I am. I do not see what we can do for you what with America being so close to France and much stronger."
"Never fear, I have no desire to see France destroyed by those American bullies. Instead, I offer you the City of Vishnu in the islands."
"And what must we do for this ‘gift’, Mister Prime Minister."
"Simple, agree to a trade embargo against the Americans. Their capacity for war will be greatly hampered by the lose of your French Oil. Should the American’s retaliate against you, The First Indian Fleet is currently operating in the area and can easily defend your shores from a possible American invasion."
"It is agreed, Mister Prime Minister. France will take control of Vishnu."

As the French Ambassador leaves, he asks his secretary to make a call to the Egyptian Ambassador.

"Ah, Mister Ambassador, welcome."
"Thank you, Sir. I just ran into Pierre outside. It seems that Indian may be parting with her holdings in the Ambrost Islands."
"In a manner of speaking, yes."
"How can Egypt be of service to you, I am afraid to ask. After all, the Russian do have a few holdings near Egypt."
"Why it is simple. We ask that you join with India, Iroquois and the Aztecs against our war with Russia. Russia will be too busy trying to take the Ambrost uranium mines thus leaving her southern colonies ripe for Egyptian occupation."
"An interesting proposition, Janus. What will prevent the Russian from coming after Egypt?"
"Why the Second Fleet of course. The Russians are busy in Ambrost. We have moved our forces out of Vishnu and given that city to France, we are abandoning Ganesh thus all our Ambrost Forces will be concentrated in Ambrost City and the Uranium Mines. Russia will suffer huge loses should she try to take that city. Any Russian action against Egypt would have to be by ship and they would have to sail through Azteca’s and our navies to do so. It is a win-win situation for Egypt."
"I am under orders to assist the growth of trust and respect between our countries. You ridded us of the Roman problem so many generations ago, now it appears we can rid ourselves of the Russians. Egypt agrees to your agreement. Cairo will issue a statement shortly."
"Thank you Amir. India thanks you in her time of crisis."

______

Word is sent to Governor Ambrost. "Abandon the city of Vishnu to the French and the city of Ganesh to nature. Bring all forces to Ambrost city and hold the Uranium Mines - AT ALL COST.

______

The Russian forces flow south towards Ambrost cit, secure in the fact that their armor will crush the Indian forces in the theater, once and for all. A steady stream of Indian Infantry have been arriving at the airport since the invasion began and suddenly, ships are sighted over the horizon. Admiral Fish and the First Fleet have arrived with even more reinforcements under the command of General Das. Much more important, a stronger naval presence is now in the area and hopefully can help to stop the flow of American and Russian troops into the theater of operations. The citizenry is optimistic that they will not be subjected to the Russian way of life.

______

As the Russian and American forces converge on the isolated city of Ambrost City, Egypt declares war on Russia and attacks the Russian holdings near Egypt. The Russian forces are overwhelmed and Egypt prevails.

_______

General Foot lands near the German city of Bremmen with a contingent of armor and infanty. Shortly after landing, Foot’s army begins the march though Germany and into Babylon. Admiral EQ has finished marshaling his fleet together and the largest armada in the history of modern naval warfare begins to steam to Russia. The group consists of 2 Army Groups under the commands of Generals Hamlet and Civanator. The Russian will feel the full weight of Indian retaliation.

Very good. Let's see if the AI in this game acts like every other AI and sends Frigates and Ironclads at my battleships and carriers, which i assume i have as who would be insane enough to be in the Modern Ages and not have great fleets with those. Anyway, may the Russians die underneath my fleet's shells!

well, seeing as how I AM American i would be obviously be refering to the Americans in the game. They are dirty scum who deserve to die. We rock.

ANd I hope yo uare reffering to game Russians, because that I am citizen of Israel AND Russia in the same time, through right now I live in Israel.

Oh no, I was talking about the real Russians. baa baa. Them and people from montana. c'mon now. I will hereby state the following. Any comment made by me on this thread is meant (jokingly, I might add) as an insult to the (and pay attention here) FICTITIOUS civilization represented in the game described by our friend Sealman. The REAL citizens of the city of Rome do not, to my knowledge, eat their own children nor have I heard any rumors concerning the REAL Russians and their farm animals other than the story of Catherine the Great of which I had totally forgotten until right now. I am making fun of people who DO NOT REALLY EXIST and whose name has absolutly no baring on the actual culture they are meant to represent. You might just as well name them after my home town of Philadelphia or my very family. The point is I'm making fun of FICTITIOUS people. got it? That said I would like to say that all comments made about Babylonians are directed at both the fictitious ones and the real ones. They're stupid jerks!

Havent heard any rumors about Russians? I have heard too many to fit in a thread. We Orlandoians love making fun of people foolish enough not to live in Florida. Can tell you some about people who live in Montana too.

I really don't know anything about people from montana, I just figured it was a good state to pick for beastiality jokes (i.e. lots of farmland). I was going to say W Virginia but that's more of a sister thing. And, trust me, I live in a wonderful area to make fun of people. To the west there's the rest of the wonderful state of Pa (otherwise known as North West Virginia). To the east there's the (tee-hee) "Garden State" or Swampy Completely Flat West Virginia With Lots of Strip Malls/Clubs. And then there's the fabulous town of Philly itself which i won't even get started on.

General Das sets up his defensive forces around Ambrost City. Governor Ambrost has done a wonderful job placing key fortifications along the Russian and America paths to the city. Artillery shells rain down on the American and Russian forces as the march towards the city. Once they arrive, the enemy troops are devastated and are no match to the fresh defenders of the city and each attack is thrown back with more and more ferocity. Ambrost City will not fall to the evil whims of the Russians and their American lackeys.

Out in the waters around the Isles, Admiral Fish and his fleet continue to harass Russian and American reinforcements to the isles, General Das feels that a strong push out of the city can retake the islands in the name of India, all he needs are more reinforcements, which continue to arrive daily. Soon, the forces in and around Ambrost City are greater than the Russian and American combined forces. Then, the Islands will return to their rightful owners.

______

Sailing from India to Russia, Admiral EQ sails past the remains of an Aztec Fleet. They engaged a Russian force steaming towards Azteca and a bloody sea battle ensured. No reports on the Russian Naval presence in the area so EQ’s fleet is on heightened alert. As the fleet approaches the Russian coastline and the city of Kiev, Russian surface ships are sighted and bombed. A few Russian ships make it close enough to threaten the transports but never get off a shot. Two Transports of Marines lead by General Hamlet, once again Hamlet’s family charges head on into an enemy controlled city. Indian casualties are high but Kiev falls to the might of India. As the docks and harbor of Kiev are secure, word is sent out to the fleet and the rest of the invasion forces unloads. India’s foothold in Russia is secure.

______

General Foot and his force of romp through the pastures and fields that once belonged to the Babylonian Empire. He has orders to assist German and Iroquois forces in their war against Babylon. General Foot’s forces suffer few casualties as German and Iroquois forces converge on the Babylonian capital of Babylon. Foot orders his troops to rest as they set up camp in the mountains to the north of the city. They have a perfect vantage point for the combined assault on the city. They watch the Babylonian flag fall and cheer as the Iroquois flag is raised over the city. As the men begin to celebrate, the Indian pickets bring in some prisoners, members of the Babylonian Government. A smile comes to the face of General Foot, he may not have had the honor of hoisting the Indian flag over a capture city, but he has captured the remains of the Babylonian leaders. The Babylonian Empire is no more.

_____

As Generals Civanator and Hamlet begin to expand the Indian beachhead in Russia, great leaders of the world have agreed to a type of "World Government" to help prevent blatant aggressions like those acts of Russia and America. Thus the so called, United Nations begins to be constructed in Delhi. The Russians, fearing this organization would hinder their dreams of world conquest begin to construct a similar organization in Moscow.

General Hamlet changes his course of action and instead of capturing cities around Kiev, he turns and heads straight to Moscow. Russia can not complete this organization. General Civanator is given the task of taming the wild Russian folk in the countryside.

General Hamlet arrives outside of Moscow and for once, a Hamlet does not charge into the teeth of a fortified enemy. He is aware that he does not have to take the city, just isolate it from the rest of Russia, which he does. Parties are sent out and the landscape around Russia is pillaged. Mining camps are overrun and destroyed. Farms are plundered and food is appropriated (the Indians do not believe in theft.)

As the Indian forces continue to have their way with the Russian army, the new United Nations convenes in Delhi. Russian and American diplomats boldly enter the meeting hall and the Russian diplomats demands that he should be president of the council. A look of shock is seen on the faces of the diplomats and the Pierre, the French ambassador (France being the only nation at peace) declares that an election should be held do determine the president. The motion is seconded and passes. The presidential votes are counted and Joel Pierrea, the Indian diplomat, is elected president. Sergi Alexandrovich demands a recount but it is hard to mess up a count to "2".

India wins the election and is able to force a peace on the world. American colonies in the Ambrost isles are given to Egypt. Iroquois and Germany are awarded Russian colonies in the Northern Waters. India is happy with their land holdings and only accepts war reparations. Hostilities end and Peace once again rules the land.

____

Peace settlement is purly fictional, ended the game after the diplomatic win. Who to write about next time?? Should I keep it random???
