well i've been in a lot of wars i couldn't win, but thats usually cause i pick the little civs in scenarios that make it nearly impossible to win. like montegerro in the napoleonic wars.
i've been in a war for 100 turns (probably way over that but i don't like to exagerate ) in the current game im playing, with both Egypt, the Aztecs and Mongolia
and i played india no military UU but
Once I was playing an 18 player duel game, and my warrior started 1 square from Peter's settler and scout, so I attacked him. The warrior died in a wave of horrible luck, though, so I hit regenerate map, because I was playing as a stress relief from an earlier game and didn't want to deal with it. I forgot about him for a long time afterwards, and he ended up being the other dominant power in the game. We were at war the entire time, from turn one, until the end of the game around 1860AD when I captured his last city. (He was the last holdout on the map.) A 6800 year war is not something I want to do again, though. Much war weariness was to be had.
ive been at war for over 3000 years b4 he had declared war on me and was uber small so i ignored him and his attacks of like 1 or 2 units and it just kept going on b4 i finally decided to kill him.
