The music and art of FFH

I know the FFH team has drawn on many different sources, some I recognize and many with hilarious results. I particularly like the liberal helping of Monty Python references. But since the Easter Eggs (or tips of the hat, or whatever you'd like to call 'em) are being covered in another thread, I wanted to draw attention to the excellent choices made to set a mood or make a civ stand out.

Though all of the leader icons and most of the civ themes are evocative and good, I particularly like Keelyn (Balseraphs) and Alexis (Calabim). Both the portrait and the music set a distinct tone. Keelyn's music and pic are both sickly sweet and pretty much insane, just what I'd expected from the civ description. And Alexis and her music is practically nauseating, again, just what I would have expected.

I'd also mention Auric, the plate mail clad Scandinavian sort with not a sword in his hand, but a book. There are many other good things I could say, but I don't want to write a book.

What does everyone else particularly like, and where does this material come from? I've spotted a lot, but I'm sure I know the origins of maybe 25% of this stuff at best.

I believe many (most?) leader portraits, including Auric Ulvein, are from the Icewind Dale games.

Hmm. I played those, and I remember the art work being striking, but I don't specifically remember any of it. Guess I wasn't THAT into Icewind Dale lol...
