Well, with the recent resignation of Pope Snipelfritz, it falls to me to take cultural charge of our great nation. Following the example set by Snipel when he moved up from deputy to minister last term, I've started a new culture thread. The original can be found right here. As always, feel free to post any questions/comments/suggestions/rants you may have concerning culture and this ministry's dealings thereof.

Good luck and enjoy yourself Ashburnham. A quick climb to the top...

Can we expect some cultural guidance in these important times where the discussion "Peace, research and culture" or "War, bloodshed and suffering" is taking place inside the borders of our nation ???

The Iroqouis have The Pyramids (Salamanca, 530 BC), The Hanging Gardens (Grand River, 250 AD), and Sistine Chapel (Salamanca, 1020 AD).

The Babylonians have The Great Lighthouse (Ninevah, 230 AD) and Leonardo's Workshop (Ur, 1000 AD).

The Zulu have The Great Wall (Zimbabwe, 510 BC).

The French have JS Bach's Cathedral (Marseilles, 1040 AD)

The Russians have The Great Library (Delhi, 530 BC) and The Collosus (Moscow, 290 BC).

The Americans have no wonders.

The Chinese have no wonders.

The Aztecs have The Oracle (Tenochtitlan, 530 BC) and Sun Tzu's Art of War (Tenochtitlan, 920 AD).

We have Smith's Trading Academy (Shorin-Ryu, 970 AD) and Copernicus' Observatory (Zojoji, 920 AD).
- We are currently building Wall Street (En'Gha, 4 Turns to Completion)
- We are currently building Forbidden Palace (Odawara, 1 Turn to Completion)

The misspelled word above is misspelled.

And the stage is set for a dramatic duel when ex former Pope Snipelfritz returns. I really think you should push for some prebuilds and cultures Pope Ashburnam.

One word was misspelled in this report. Can you find it?

Rest assured, this ministry will be pursuing an aggressive Wonder-building policy. I urge all citizens to vote in the poll listed in my first post, as well as any subsequent polls. Hopefully, we'll started building at least one Wonder by the next Turnchat.

And, yes blackheart I know how to spell my own name. Ashburnham is misspelled. ;)

Dear Cultural Minister ~ I would suggest working with the Domestic Department in trying to get En'Gha switched to a Palace pre-build and Odawara switched to the Wall Street Wonder. These would seem to be logical moves if we are going to place the FP further South in captured Iroquois territory.

Dear Cultural Minister

Having Work commitments in the next hour, I have gone ahead with a "Shield Preservation" poll in case Odawara has swapped out from the FP. I have done this so that we and Governor Invy may change instructions in time for the TC.

Please be aware that all options save for "Palace at Odawara" are considered "Veto" options, because of previous WOTP via the poll you have conducted. "Veto" options require a Majority to back.

I am sorry to have gone over your head, but time is precious. And I am out of it.

That's quite understandable, SD3. After all, you were in charge of the FP project. It's unfortunate that we're switching around Wonders after the WOTP has spoken, but hopefully we can figure out something that will preserve the Wonders as best we can.

WOTP, an abused term, can still speak several time, and sometimes it speaks in discord with itself. When the situation change and events dictate, the WOTP must be given a chance to adapt, as any creature would do in a new situation.

I just want to make sure the people are behind the changes being suggested. To that extent, I'm glad that SD3 has set up polls to see how to handle the situation. The last Term here at the Demogame has been one notable for its indecisiveness above all else. I hope that next Term sees us having a clear direction to go in, rather than floundering around from poll to poll.
