Hey,

Well you know how there are the new UN options that civ's can vote on (force trade embargo etc.) that come with BTS, well I have been playing a couple of games since I got it but in every one of them the new options don't appear with the vanilla civ un options (free speech, foreign trade routes etc.). Why aren't they coming up? Do I need, for example, to have another civ annoyed or furious at me in order for the new options to come up???

thanks for your help,

You might be looking for the Apostolic Palace diplomatic options. For those, teh AP must be built and you selected as leader, just like the UN.

The UN has both fixed (the old, familiar ones) and situational electional choices.

The situational choices of UN are sometimes similar to the choices you get from the Apostolic Palace (which all seem to be situational). These choices seem to appear only when there's something special going on in the world, i.e. "Stop the war against <leader>" or "Give the city <X> to <leader>", the latter seems to appear when a boarder city is under great influence from another civ's culture. There are more, but for the moment I can't remember what. These situational choices does not appear very often, though.

The old, familier fixed choices are of cause always present. The situational choices, when appearing, are listed after the fixed choices. You'll have to roll the slider all the way down to see if any situatinal choices are present.

Hope this answers your question.
