Does anybody know what symbolizes the "shadow" behind the helmet in the Norse icon of C3C ? It cannot be the "shadow" of the helmet itself.

It looks like the "anarchy" symbol. or it could be nordic runes. And of course, horned helmets weren't really worn by the early medieval norse. This icon is good for ancient/early medieval techs like "martial tradition" or "warrior code".

Yes, there is indeed some similarity between that "shadow" and the Anarchy icon. :) I had not that idea. I only compared it to runes and found nothing looking like that "shadow".

The icon is one candidate for the strategic resource "Migration Period" in CCM 2.6 coming with tech "Marauding Tactics". Therefore "Anarchy" is fitting well. It is provided by the SW Heroic Epic (Nibelungenlied) and used as a prerequisite to give the Huns and Vikings their special GWs for their GAs.

I have just done an exhaustive search of hundreds of Viking symbols, and nothing matches (Plus, you do know that the Vikings didn't actually wear helmets with horns ... :viking: )
Thanks Ozy. :) I think Predator´s explanation fits well. So the Vikings were not wearing helmets with horns in combat, If remembering well, there was found a Viking ceremonial helmet with horns. :D The Flintlock mod allows to use resources in a complete new way for Civ 3, as in standard Civ 3 a resource once when appeared, could not completely disappear out of the game again. With the Flintlock mod this now is possible and can create a kind of a special event (here the time of the migration period, triggering the Golden Age for the Vikings and the Huns). When the migration period has ended, that resource will fall out completly from the listed resources of a civ.

Thanks Ozy. :)

This I did not know! (And I've always liked your multiple uses of Wonders ) I need a "Flintlock Cheat Sheet" (implementing CCM features into Terra Fantasia is wonderfully engrossing, but, alas!, my time is limited, and "decoding" the subtlety of your innovations far surpasses my enjoying playing with the mechanics.) - And I'm still going to rename "Leonardo's Workshop," "The Workshop Of The Blue Lion."

:D
