I'm sorry this whole issue has gone down the way it has. I voted yes because we really need to get something done. We waffled so much for so long on the first agreement that could possibly kept GCA within 5 tiles of BoP, that I can't see doing it again on the eve of war. Now we've got allies with less than scrupuless trading practices that we want to sign an alliance with. This is not an optimum situation. True, 40J's and Ravenfire's proposed treaties were worded immaculately, and I liked them very much, but we have piddled away enough time on this issue. Let's not blow another opportunity on the Foreign Affairs level.

Haha. Obviously another failed attempt at diplomacy on my part. Sorry, 40J. That's why i don't run for President or ambassador. I leave things of that nature to the cool-headed and quick thinking people like you. BTW, I think you're doing an excellent job and have moved us into a new age of development.

I'd just as soon declare that you failed to provide adequate discussion on your proposal than to admit that I failed to post in said period.

40J, I never said my revised version had enough time, but at least I had something on the table well before the poll. I never said it was perfect, but as you told me thursday night when you went ahead and talked to Poly without me, "It was a matter of timing." We were in a tight position and we needed to get a vote tally quickly.

That is hardly what I consider an adequate discussion period.

Again 40J, at least my skeleton had discussion. You are scolding me for something that you yourself did not do. Please do not be a hypocrite. Don't tell me that I am completely wrong when you yourself have done what I have done in a way.

I find the fact that you sent your proposal to Apolyton very irresponsible and out of character. You know how the democracy game works. Your proposal was never voted upon, and futhermore you went ahead to send it Apolyton when I had already said that I sent this proposal that was voted upon by the people of Fanatikou. This proposal passed 40J, and you had no place sending your proposal to Apolyton. Just because you are the President does not mean that you can go doing things without the nations consent. Your proposal was great 40J, but was not sanctioned by the nation, and you out-steped your powers.

Finally, I am thrilled that I nominated you for President, because you have greatly helped this nation, and I don't know where we would be without you.

That's absurd, Veera. The first post in this poll names the narrative below "The Northern States Alliance". I'm not taking sides here (although I didn't know 40J slipped a second proposal under the table), I'm saying your statement is unfounded.

So we've had the game save for two hours now. Has anybody signed any of the treaties yet? Has there been any advancement at all in this matter or is everyone just sitting around looking at each other? If CDG is our ally, then let them attack.

CGA has declared war on us, have they not (in game)? Just because they pull some slimey out of game move on us doesn't mean we have to believe it. What's the update on this issue?

They will agree. They cant submit any troops anyway, as they are too far away, so they say. All this is for them is an easy way to get resources.
