However, with the grid on --especially if the coordinates are on -- it's moving slower than Dom Deluise in the Boston Marathon.
Brad: is that "just the way it is" or could there be something in the grid rendering that really drags down the processor?
D&G, cool contributions: in fact, you've inspired me. I took a crack at an App icon and I'm offering it up as a possible replacement for that adapted WinTel icon. I'm taking suggestions, too, so if anyone has any ideas how we can out-style our PC brothers, please tell me.Originally posted by DiamondzAndGunz
Brad, here is a zip containing all my revised icons for the editor. Some of them are just modified versions of the original icons- others are new ones that I found looked pretty good in the editor.
Will it work?Originally posted by ejday
...I took a crack at an App icon blah blah blah
It wasn't, though at least Exploder gave me the error message telling me that the attempted upload was too big (which is another mystery I shall go ponder).Originally posted by...
[EDIT: Son of a bgun! Think I'll go try it with Exploder. Maybe the 3rd time will be the charm.]

Yes, absitively, posolutely. I'd be honored if you used it in the "official" release. Heck, I'll go tweak the quickie folder I made, too. If you want to use that, be my guest...Originally posted by Brad Oliver
Very nice! Can i assume that all the new artwork being posted is fair game for inclusion in an "official" release?
Thank you!Originally posted by DiamondzAndGunz
Great icons ejday!
Okay, cool. I'll give that a shot and see what we can do to improve that interface.Inside... See what you can do with those.

In the meantime, here's a CivIIIEdit folder candidate. Too busy?
Just to put the CivIIIEdit stuff in it - mostly as gift wrapping for the initial download. You've got an app and a read me and they've got to be in a folder to be properly compressed, right? Then, even after you take the app and put it in the CivIII folder, you'll still have the folder to keep the read-me and any test runs you don't want to keep in the scenarios folder. Sort of an organizational tool for those so inclined.Originally posted by DiamondzAndGunz
I think it looks good. Just wondering, though, what exactly is it to be used for?

Here's a screen grab. Note that the "Terrain" button is active, so it's green. Same thing happens when you activate the "Resources" and "Overlays" buttons in turn, each will go to color when it's selected. Same goes for the brush size buttons (which have been changed to an isometric view to more accurately represent the map on which we're painting).
Give it a shot...
