Do you like the Pokemon games

Pokemon can be quite a diverse and difficult game to play if you have a bunch of people REALLY dedicated to the game, unlike many people believe.

Shiny Rhydon = ownage

It sure is.

Contrary to some, I quite enjoy capturing and evolving Pokemon. I had an Emerald Pokedex with more than 60% filled up and I didnt trade any Pokemon, cept a Bagon and Lunatone.

But my favourite is Silver Version. Two worlds, 251 Pokemon, 16 Gyms, though after the Normal Type Gym, it is painful easy. They should create a game where you can travel between Johto and Kanto and instead of fighting the Gyms in a story line with weaker ones that slowly get stronger, they should be all equally strong and you fight them when you are strong enough

I my Platinum,my Roserade(Level 53) is Shiny and can kill Bertha's Rhyperior(Level 56) in one shot with Giga Drain.

Unless they have/had the Pokerus. My sister has a shiny Crobat she migrated from her Emerald to her Pearl.

Shinies don't, never had, and never will have anything over regular Pokemans. :p

(Except for the "I wasted entire afternoons looking for this" bragging rights, of course!)

Well, yes, but I never SEARCH out shiny pokemon, but if I find one while randomly training or running around, there's no reason not to catch it.

I am literally one pokemon away from beating Cynthia in Platinum while posting this

I have/had:

Blue, Gold, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed

Of these, FireRed is easily my favorite, but I'm out of things to do in it - excl. the Battle Tower, which strikes me as stupid anyways. I just need to evolve a crapton of Pokemon and complete the Dex.

I'm no good at the games.

In every single one I played, I do well throughout most of the game until I reach the Pokémon League, where I find out that my Pokémon aren't good enough and get knocked out in one hit.

Pokemon's still great. My proudest moment was beating Sapphire using one Taillow, but now I've done that and the monotype (Poison) and no-evolution runs (of FireRed and Crystal, respectively) I've run out of variants to do. Anyone know any more?

As for shinies: I have never found any shinies! :( (Apart from the red Gyarados in GSC that they give you for free.) My sister found one, though. She didn't know what shinies were at the time, though, and was about to knock it out, when:

SISTER: Hey this Hoothoot is sorta a different colour

ME: STOP WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU FOOL

She managed to catch it, though, luckily.

My sister lost her DS so I can't get Pearl Only Pokemon into my Diamond and Platinum.

I like them in inverse order of newness, thus adding to my philosophy that newer is almost never better.

I also, loved the "glitch city" cheat.

I hated the third generation, except Fire Red/Leaf Green, but the Fourth has been awesome so far - Diamond and Pearl were good, Pearl is probably the single best Pokemon game to date (and the first to offer a decent fire-type other than the starter before the elite four in the form of Houndour/doom).

Before that, my favorites were Gold/Silver. Which only makes the fourth generation better, since we've got DS/Fourth Generation upgrades of Gold and Silver coming up.

Huh? Don't Diamond/Pearl have the Fire starter and Ponyta/Rapidash as the only fire pokermon in the game until after you've seen all 150 sinnoh pokemon?

Yeah, but i didn't use no stinking fire type!

Houndour and Houndoom were in Gold/Silver/Crystal...?

Only in Kanto, though, so not before the Elite Four, is what he's saying.

EDIT: But how can you not love Torkoal :p

Are Diamond/Pearl really that good? I haven't even thought of getting either of those, or Platinum, because they just seemed to be made up of 'catch this legendary, then catch those legendaries, then catch these three legendaries, &c., &c.'. (Also I'd have to get a Nintendo DS, and those things are just gimmicky nonsense.)

Houndour and Houndoom were in Gold/Silver/Crystal...?

Note I said "before the Elite Four". Houndour was only in Kanto in Gold/Silver/Crystal, whereas Houndour is actually catchable before the Elite Four in Platinum (NOT in Diamond/Pearl). And with Nasty Plot being added in, Houndoom is really a powerful force this time around (dark move, raise sp. atk. sharply)

Catch EVERY pokemon in a premeir ball throughout the game. Even legendaries.

I'm a big fan of Pokemon, though in RL I hide it well. ;)

Currently playing Platinum with:

Empoleon
Yanmega
Rapidash
Leafeon
Gardevoir
Weavile

I usually prefer Fire starters but Infernape has curbed this trend. He's just an aesthetically lamer Blaziken.

Beat the game only using Metronome.

It'd be a problem if it used Selfdestruct. If you use Selfdestruct with no other Pokemon left and you knock out the opponent, who wins, anyways?
