I am a warmonger at heart . Any civilization thats tries to make the peace gets to my blade pretty quickly. I make massive armies and try to plant myself the world dictator as soon as possible. The problem is, destroying everybody is the only way I have ever won, and now I get no satisfaction. This time, I want to win via culture. I know how to do this: complete the utopia project. I am about to start a new game and I would like some tips! I am going to play as the French at Prince difficulty on the earth map. Help would be appreciated!

I think most of us play that way, its more fun and sure its more effective, so why not, especially in Civ 5, if your neighbours get strong soon nukes start to rain on you.

Well start warmongering at the medieval era if you have iron and capture the first capital of you're neighbour but dont finish him off. So you dont get a diplomatic hit. Olso dont start a second war so yo ucan trade more.

After that keep good relations with neighbours and keep trading with other AI for research agreements and luxury resources for gold. You have the good relations to do it!!!

As soon as you hit gunpowder and chemistry you can have musketeers and cannons this is the time to take over the world do it..

I won a domination victory with france just before i hit the modern era.
Even if you haven't won a domination victory in the renaissance artillery and foreign legions will do the trick in industrial..

Its all about when to start the war with france its in the renaissance.

To make the maximum use of you're ability expand fast In my domination game i had like 5 cities in the medieval and i was ready to start my first war

I started on prince. Now I am up to emperor. It took about 14 months although I did not play the game straight through. So either I am stupid or smarter than the average bear.

Dogs have paws; paws don't meet the requirement for gaming, if they did, dogs all around the world would be playing this game.
