"The save file you have selected is protected to ensure that the assets" crash to desktop trying to play game of the month

Hi,

when I try to open a saved game of the month my game immediately crashes to desktop right after a brief pop up says something along the lines of "The save file you have selected is protected to ensure that the assets"

I can play the game myself using the buffy mod but whenever I try to open a nobles club or GOTM it seems to not work.

Playing Civ 4 on Windows 11 via steam if this means anything.

Any help greatly appreciated as enjoy playing the games on the month.

I just went on to Steam and downloaded this version and I seem to be able to access the GotM now so thank you
