The tabbing problem

Hi, I'm new here and kind of stupid so OMG IF I POST THE WRONG THING DONT HURT ME

I tend to leave Civ 5 on a lot, just like every other program I run on my computer, and sometimes when I start up Civ 5 I find I can't tab out of it to my browser or whatever, or my playlist. The game runs completely fine in all other respects.

Sometimes its just a little frameskip and then I tab out, sometimes I can and then I can't, but once I can't, the only solution is to completely close the game, which is annoying because of long start-up times. I'm running it in windowed mode and everything, but does anyone have a solution for this problem?

I run mine in full screen mode, and I can usually get out of it without too much trouble. If you're running Windows 7 and if you can get the taskbar to come up by pressing Alt+Tab, then I think the show desktop button at the bottom right might minimize the game.

But I can usually do it just by pressing Alt+Tab, and then just run any other program I want to with Civ5 running in the background, but not minimized.

Try this:

Open at least one other window.

Hold down alt.

Press tab, it should cycle through the open windows. At least on windows 7.
