the units are hard to see

Why are the units so small I pressed z and they come in closer but I would like them closer? What can I do to zoom in further? I know I have alot bigger monitor now than I used to have when I played civ 3 a couple years ago, and I don't remember it being hard to see my units, maybe civ 4 has been spoiling me with better zoom power. Thanks for any help, I am sure there is a simple fix to this. Especially since I know people who have played this forever, but everyone has not replied must be a helluva weekend. Thanks for any help

Unfortunately, there are only two zoom levels. So what you see now is it.

What resolution are you using? You could try a different video mode in the .ini file.

If you just need to see the unit locations, are you already using the "team colour disc" in Preferences?
