The "What happened to Morph's video" thread

Hey all, I'm having a problem with my comp - and honestly I don't know what's left to try.

The problem was like this - I realized that www.launch.com's videos could NOT open on my comp, and when they did - they were pink and green. I saw a solution to the pink and green deal - but it really didn't do anything. Now, with or without the "green solution" I can't seem to play video files at all. I've uninstalled/re-installed windows media player and it's codecs. I've downloaded DivX player and RealOne player - same problems. I simply CAN'T play movie files(.avi .mpg .mpeg) and I honestly am clueless at this point. May or may not have something to do with it - I have Win98SE, Nvidia geforce fx 5200
(windows media player performs illegal operations and other video players freeze and I have to ctrl-alt-delete them)

ANY help WHATSOEVER would be HIGHLY appreciated.

It might be your monitor.... Do you have a old monitor or a relativly new one?

I've never had problems with my monitor before.. it's not new but not incredibly old - probably 96.

I had a old monitor (no idea how old) that couldn't show some of the "newer" colors and it messed up when I tried to load certain files... had to buy a new one, but that might not be your problem.

No idea why it won't let you access video's at all now.
