the Zone....What Happened?

so i try to log on to the Zone for two hours with little luck. says i need this .net passport. the link is screwed up, so it keeps bringing me back to the same page. eventually i get it through the MSN home page, and try to play some civ. now i get a message that civ is no longer supported on the zone. I guess if a game doesn't have 1000's of players, its not worth their time. So eventually i'm actually able to get into the Age of Glory room, (after an error retrieving my old name, i had to use a new one) and it was totally empty, so i'm guessing im not the only one having problems.


how am i ever going to find a game now??

Yeah, I tried all day. :crazyeyes Got myself signed up with a .Net password and still couldn't get in. Are there any other sites to play? If not, maybe I should set one up. Like to know if anyone would be interested in that.

Not as far as I know, there is ICQ but the mge gamefinderlist is offline
Yeah please set one up, I got to the zone today, got the netpassport, claimed my old zonename, got to the gameroom....empty, 1 hour later tried to get back to the gameroom and I got the endless login page.....couldnt get back in

Might be a good idea to just put a chatbox on the laddersite. Trajan are you reading this???

ok, Zone update....I got in today with my new name. (DEODAVE).
had problems with the "sign in loop", I had to go to the zone's main page, where you first go if you click "free games" on the MSN homepage. the sign in works there. Civ was listed as a favorite on that page so at least i didnt have to search the lists. when i clicked on it, i got a screen that says "this game is no longer supported on the zone, blah,blah..." below that it says click here to play this game, and that took me to the room and i could play. (i then, after 6 sessions, a combined 25 hours or so, I finally beat Phatman into submission. )


ATAWA, A CHAT ROOM HERE IS A GREAT IDEA!!!!!!!

last night i down loaded the chat thingy i was directed to from this sight. when i got to the civfan chat is was empty.
a chat room HERE would be the best place possible to find games and it would make reporting a snap.

untill then, if you want on the zone, do what i did, cuz lets face it folks, were junkies that lost our connection:crazyeyes

Well, after 3 days of trying, I still can't get in! I always end up in that loop at the . net sign in page. :crazyeyes Emailed Microsoft support 3 days ago. Not sure what to do but if anyone wants to play, ICQ me at 143681911. I'm having Civ II DTs!

A chat room here would be a great idea and pretty easy to implement. It would really be all you need to facilitate play. Any one know who hosts this site?
