Trying to fully understand the theming of GW.

It would appear that you can move some GW, but I cant seem to replace them in a different slot to complete the theme.

Anybody help on this?

Great Works of Writing, Great Works of Music, and Relics can be freely moved.

When you create a Great Work of Art, it cannot be moved for a certain number of turns (usually 10).

Artifacts cannot be moved from an Archaeological Museum until that museum is full. I have not tried filling Palace or Medici Bank slots with artifacts.

(Unfortunately) Only Art Museums and Archaeological Museums have theming. These get their culture and tourism enhanced if you have 3 pieces of artwork that are the same type by different artists. Or three artifacts of the same era from different civilizations.

Also, it seems like "repeat" works (of the same artist or civilization) do not grant their normal culture/tourism. So if you stash 3 pieces from the same artist in a museum, you only get the culture/tourism for one. This also applies to the Medici Bank and the Hermitage. Interestingly enough, this limitation only applies to the Culture and Tourism yields, not Food/Production/Gold (which Kongo gets). Kongo gets full Food/Production/Gold even with works from the same artist!

yep so get out there and plunder other civs arc sites so you can get them bonuses :P

palace doesn't get bonus and you can move stuff in and out of it anytime. least how kongos palace works.

Really? I've never noticed this, never really paid attention to it because I was sure it worked properly (properly = every piece produces culture and tourism).
So if you use all three charges or a great artist in one art museum, the effect is the same as if you used just one charge?
