To all of you email spammers, please at least use good grammar and english and real company logos to at least semi-convince me your email is the real deal. I can't even understand most of the message with its poor gramar and spelling. And it has no official company logos or anything either.

Misspelling to avoid email filters. How original. Didn't see that one coming. :(

I swear one day I'm going to track down the vermin that keeps spamming my inbox with zoophilia or whatever it's called called.

Also be careful of e-bay and paypal scams. Those are more "sophisticated", though, since:

1. They copy the Paypal website design and interface
2. They camouflage the true target-page of the link as if it was a real paypal link (i.e. the link written is not the actual link).

Someone unexperienced could be fooled. Please be careful..

Another horrible net scam I encountered is people have put up these fake homepages pertaining to sell ad-removal software that really is just a fake proggie that does nothing but report. Exploiting noobs for profit. :(

@iceblaze: do you mean this one ;)

>Dear PayPal member,

>We regret to inform you that your account is about to be expired in next five business days. To avoid suspension
>of your account you have to reactivate it by providing us with your personal information.

>To update your personal profile and continue using PayPal services you have to run the attached application to
>this email. Just run it and follow the instructions. (*yeah sure*)

>IMPORTANT! If you ignore this alert, your account will be suspended in next five business days and you will not
>be able to use PayPal anymore.

>Thank you for using PayPal.

Eh these, I never open any of these rediculous things, some of them may even contain viruses...

Interesting.

When reading the mail in Yahoo Mail, and clicking the link provided, Opera warned me about going to a server with a name and password. Now when I click it in these forums, there's no trouble at all, no warning. Hmm.

A salesman here gets a 419 scam roughly once a week, all somewhat different, countries, email addresses, reason for needing to get USD$x out of the country, etc. Lord knows how she got onto their list, but our antispam blocklists catch pretty much all of them now. If I wanted to join the 419 Olympics (how long one can play along with the 419ers without them going away) I certainly have some practice material here.
