I finnially got my motherboard installed and all but one bug is fixed. And that is the display. It looks like it is in safe mode for some reason. And I can't chnage anything.
Have you tried rebooting? Maybe it is in safemode
Else, right click on a blank space on your desktop. Click properties, go to the settings tab, change the colour quality (and the resolution?)
Hope that helps
Edit: I'm clueless then, but I think I remember something similar happening to me a long time ago...
I know it is not in safe mode since I have modded win98 to show me the boot options at start up. And I tried the propeties thing but it displys the same thing as the tool bar.
When you start up your computer after it has crashed repeatedly, you'll be given the option to run in safe mode (if you have windows). When in safe mode only the very basic applications are run, so that if there is an program which is causing a problem, it wont be able to (as it wont be running)
Yeah I discovered that the so called drivers win98 was using for it were not meant for the card I had.
@Gogf: Safe mode is used when you have a hardware or software problem that does not allow you to properly boot. It bypasses most of the start up files that are auto loaded upon start up. It's used to figure out what went wrong.
