The elder scrolls, also created using the Gamebryo engine, has brought out this editor for its characters. I'd say that something similar to this would be great to have as a leaderhead editor! It goes to show that it could be a possibility...(though I seriously doubt Firaxis would bring anything like this out ;) ). It should, of course, have the ability to import 3ds objects :mischief: .

It's no problem converting morrowindmeshes to civ. I already did that with blender for some units and C.Roland as well as Jojoweb used it a lot too. For using heads you only have to delete their animations and export them in the right nifversion. There's a tutorial about it written by C.Roland too.;)

oooh....sounds complicated, but I'll read up on that tomorrow...there's a few programs that use gamebryo, so it would be nice to be able to import their graphics into this game.
 
Ok **** this is oblivion right? Will it work with elderscrolls 3 too? Just asking cause oblivion heads will have much to high poly. it still will work exporting them to civ but not be really useful for units.

and I don't have oblivion.
 
Oblivion uses a specific third party face creation software that is not related to Gamebryo. Most likely all the editor does is set the variables for that software and doesn't actually make a mesh for the face; as such, it's pretty useless for Civ4 leaderheads or what-have-you.
 
Well it could still be tried using the existing meshes there to use them for Civ. If they are nif they can be imported in blender. The problem will be making the game accept them. Buildings which don't have animations don't cause any problem. Also bits like faces, trees you can use unanimated. If you want use meshes from there animated you'll have to make the animations yourself don't know about that but that's tough. About LHs I don't know enough to say much.
