Dear General CivIII forum mods, this thread is my way of getting a hello in edgewise to you guys. The turn over is still fast and furious in General forum, and it looks like the Conquest expansion is going to keep it flooded into next year.

Still wondering if there isn't some way to make threads stay active in the general forum longer.

Just BUMP it ;)

Bumping as well as reviving old threads is spamming/sort of trolling.
If you want to make it stay in the first page, post w/o spamming in it. Otherwise, you'll just see if the thread is popular or not ;)

Well, if you've got something useful to tell, post in in strategy&tips. Since nobody ever posts there, your thread will most likely be on top of the page forever.

And it's more interesting anyway....
There's much more good info on the game in the strategy forum as in the GD forum...

I think you have the chance to that in your user cp.

No, you can set the number of posts per thread page, but not the number of threads per forum page.

Sure... if you're planning on going on vacation for a week. ;)

But, if Padma and I really think a thread needs to be stickied, we'll sticky it.

Something like, "Ideas for Civ3: Conquest" might be a start.

Too bad you can't "invisibump" like at gamefaqs. If a thread is disappearing and you're the last one to post, you can delete your post and repost it, bringing back up to the top.

Sticky threads...who pays attention to them? :hmm: Whenever I look on the front page (rarely because I use email notification) my eyes skip the first three threads (which are stickied).
