If you're wondering, Why not just use the built in PlayByCloud / PBC?

My answer is: I never have to deal with bugs, glitches, relobbying, or "unable to connect to civilization's servers"; the app is elegant and (being an oldish fart) I enjoy the old school Discourse integrated forums!
