hey guys im glad i saw this i was about to give up hope and thoght the world had no more tolkien fans. how could civ 4 not have a mod for tolkien yet????
well anyway im here to help you all in any way i can and in any way i know how. i might not be helpful at all or by some meraculous thing i would suddenly pull huge amounts of programing knowlege out of my butt but if it happens im here lols. im good with the map editor but it seems youve got the map thing going pretty well. ive got huge maps of middle earth, with belieriand, valinor and numenor in them and i can "hopefully" try and make one large one with all of them in it or several separate ones. I also have vast knowlege of lotr, the silmarillion, creation of arda and all that (im a nerd). And im thankful that there is acctually a team working on this and eager to get it done to play. im not quite sure if you can see my email on my account because i just joined this forum but if you cant just tell me. all hail iluvatar and the awsomeness of it all.

Yeas, we are working on this mod, but tis a bit slow, because of school and other RL things. (yes, oddly enough, we do have lives... )

try learning to mod. there a few useful tutorials in the Tutorials forum, and it shouldn't be too hard.

Olorum, don't be worried... XML is fairly easy to learn...

I'd like to contribute some more if I may, fellows. Has anybody written diplomatic dialogue yet? I had lots of fun with that in my Civ 2 Tolien modpack... it will be a challenge to write individual spiels for each leader.

Could I get the files too? I've read a good number of XML tutorials around these forums, and I think I've got it all down

Probably the most I could do is add some music and sounds, but its better then nothing, yes?

Deon, can you see if you can do something about the Shadow and the rings quests? (see some of the threads in the forums)

or if you can get dwarves to be able to build cities on peaks, making it allow movement by other units... (think moria)

I'll help with this mod in any way I can, although I have a *real life* as well and I won't always be on! Unfortunately, I can't mod, but what I can do is help with things like dialogue and ideas!

How is the progress so far? I can't wait to play this!

I have no time (school )

so, this summer, i'll try to get a working version out, or oer spring break (in late april)
