This now happened the third or fourth time to me.

It is not a major bug, but it is very annoying.

If you lose the race for a wonder, you have to change your production in that very town. Well, this is ok, nevertheless the appropriate message (in that little pop-up at the upper left corner of your screen) happens to show up after I was adjusting the THIRD city in my queue!

This means, the system comes up with this message almost 30 seconds after your turn already has begun.

Similar it is with the messages about border expansion, Great People generation here and there and so forth... :nuke: !

Yep, it's one of the more annoying new "features" of Civ 4. You don't get all event messages for the current turn at the beginning of the turn, but instead, the messages keep popping up during your turn. If there are 100 cities on the map, and something is happening in many of them (like great people being born, religion being spread, etc.) it could be that an important message is old news by the time it appears on the screen. It even seems like messages for one turn can be moved into the next. Really weird.

I've noticed this as well... It is especially irritating during a war, as you get the screams and wails from tiles the enemy is pillaging long after the enemy has pillaged it...

Too much of that new "RTS-like" interface is not necessarily better....
